Shared with Travlr, on tap. Dark amber color with minimum white head. Smells sweet, nice. Hazelnut flavors jump out in the first moments on the tongue, followed by caramel and sugar. It does seem a bit thin/watery though. Average

On tap at Bowie location. Pours clear dark brown with light tan head. Aromas of toffee, dark malts, nuts, and some caramel. Flavors of nuts, toffee, caramel, and dark malts. Has a nice full nutty flavor. Pretty solid brown ale.

On draft at arundel mills... good nut brown ale, with the caramel /chocolate / toffee flavor. Not overly sweet, as it could have been. Very smooth. Only had a sample... a pint or more may be too muhc.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2011 (Draft @ BWI location) Served in a shaker. Tea-brown body, slightly hazy with two fingers of biscuit head that don’t last too long. Aroma of toffee and caramel, perhaps some chocolate. Mouthfeel smooth and lightly prickly. Flavor of toasted caramel with other notes of chocolate, tar, toffee and licorice. Tasty, interesting example of the style. UPDATE: 1/1/11 Not as impressed this time around. Same notes but more bland, wooden and watery. Score is an average of the two ratings.
