3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Perch Pub, pours a lightly clear pumpkin orange, with thin white head, and nice white sheets of lacing. Aromas of citrus, caramel, toast, and vanilla. Taste is much of the same with a nice orange zest flavor and some delicious biscuity malts to back up the hops. Ultra sessionable. Not as funky and cheesy as most new zealand hopped varieties but still real nice. Dry finish. Medium bodied. Very enjoyable ipa from Duclaw.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Mari’s. Pour clear copper with a finger of white head. The aroma is fairly floral with a little pine in the distance. The taste is nice and bitter with just enough citrus sweetness to balance. Solid but not spectacular.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Craft. Pours translucent deep coppery orangy with minimal off-white head that dissipates quickly. Nose is fruity, with piney hops and a big caramel malt bill. Tastes caramel malty, somewhat astringent, with mid-palate fruit, pine, tropical notes, and a sticky IBU-forward finish. Medium palate heft, not a ton of complexity, and some late heat.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUN 7, 2013 Draft in a pint glass. Copper color, decent white head. Aroma of citrus/piney hops and caramel malt sweetness. Hop bitterness hits first followed by a fruity-like sweetness. Stronger then expected, full flavor and dry finish. Me likey.

One of my favorites. Hoppy and strong but so drinkable. Love supporting local and this one is tops.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a nice copper color, leaves some nice lacing...aroma of citrus, lemon spice, interesting combination, noticeable sweetness as well molasses, syrup? Taste is solid as the malty sweetness intermingles with the hops..leaves a bitterness on the palate..enjoyable..

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle, thanks to my parents for bringing this back for me. Good piney hops. Clear amber color. Lots of sediment suspended inside. Good, off-white head, with good retention. Leaves plenty lace. Smooth, lighter carbonation, kind of a creamy finish. Light bitter taste, little sweetness. Nice assertive light bite, little caramel malts. Satisfying tasty IPA.

BOOM!!! That’s what this beer does in your mouth. Great hops and a sweet malt backbone. The aroma entices you and then the flavor overwhelms your tastebuds. This is not a beer you want to drink first if you’re sampling many because it wrecks your palate...but I like that!
Color- burnt orange
Head- off-white with lacing
