A medium-bodied, golden IPA that gets in your face from first sweet sip to crisp, dry finish with the exotic tropical fruit flavors and aromas of New Zealand Motueka hops. With just enough malt character to keep the aggressive hop presence in check, and an unruly 7.5% abv, this brew was seemingly born to kick ass. And RAZE HELL!

Pours a hazy orange with a thin head. The aroma is mostly sweet malts. The flavor is sweet up front then has a nice fruity hop bitterness. The finish is dry and refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Golden amber with an inch of frothy white head. Smells of rotten banana and light citrus. Tastes of strong citrus, a bit of rotting fruit, and bubblegum.

Bottle: Poured a light amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some minor lacing. Aroma of light fruity hops notes with light citrus hoppy notes as well as some dry bitter notes. Taste is a mix of dry bitter hops with light tropical and citrus notes with some caramel malt with well-balanced sweetness level. Body is about average with good carbonation. This is not bad overall but lacking the hops punch I was hoping for.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear amber color with thin tan head. Aroma of light citrus, salt water, and caramel malt. Reminds me of the ocean for some strange reason. Taste is much better. Bitter grapefruit, citrus, lemon rind, and caramel malt.

Sampled during CBC 2013. Golden orange pour with a small khaki head. Light tropical fruity hops, some melon and stonefruit, bready and caramel malts. Decent bitterness, light fruity hops, some maltiness. Not bad.

Bottle. Medium amber cloudy color. Good head. Citrusy initial hop aroma. Strong bitter hop bite on palate. Not my favorite hop variety/flavor. Minimal lingering aroma.

The beer comes at you with a nice floral hoppy aroma but slightly disappoints in flavor. I will say the Motueka hops adds a very distinct almost malty compliment to the beer. Its not a typical over the top bitter hoppy citrusy IPA. That can be a good thing, or a bad thing. Doesn’t raise hell, just confuses your taste buds.

12 oz bottle. Dark amber, creamy off white, foamy head. Hopped up fruity lemony and peachy caramel aromas. Moderate grapefruit zest bitterness balances on soft bready apricot notes. It’s very well layered over soft caramel malt tones throughout. Medium bodied, soft carbonation,. medium hops. Not overdone.

12 oz. bottle. Poured copper colored with minimal stone colored head. Starts with tons of sweet caramel malt and then followed up with an astringent hop bitterness. Didn’t get much of the tropical fruit flavor. Meh.

Draft. Pours cleat light brown with a thin white head. Smells like light grapefruit and caramel hops. Light body and low carbonation. Very malty, slightly bitter, slightly sweet, and nutty.
