COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A medium-bodied, golden IPA that gets in your face from first sweet sip to crisp, dry finish with the exotic tropical fruit flavors and aromas of New Zealand Motueka hops. With just enough malt character to keep the aggressive hop presence in check, and an unruly 7.5% abv, this brew was seemingly born to kick ass. And RAZE HELL!

Draft. Pours clear copper with frothy off-white head; good retention and lacing. Aroma is floral hops, straw, pine, and light malt. Flavor is caramel malt first quickly transitioning to fruity, citrus hoppy characters with a dry, fruity finish. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation.

Draft - An excellent IPA loaded with Hops that come through in the aroma and flavor. IPA the way I like them with the hops and malt equally present. Malt does not overwhelm the beer and vice versa. Well done, I enjoy this brewers beer.

Pours an orangeish red color with a thin off white head. Strong pine flavors in this beer. Some good aromas of grass and tulips.

Clear gold body, fluffy white head lingers, leaves clingy lacing. Aroma is subtle, rich sweet sticky hops, lemon zest, and sugary candy. Flavor has bitter hops, thick and chewy, sweet cotton candy note, fresh hoppy finish but a bit of celery vegetable in the aftertaste.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2008 I really liked this one, it wasn’t crisply hoppy or aromatic, but it is a rare IPA that I could see drinking ten or so in a row without being completely turned off. It is a little less bold than the great IPAs but it was very balanced and tasty and pleasantly flavorful.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2008 A deep, piney, earthy bitterness on this one. Body is medium, just about right on the sweetness, not too much, not too little. Did not detect a whole like of citrusy aroma or flavor, but I thought this was pretty good.

Draft at Arundal Mills.Deep gold, almost orange, pour with a crystal clear appearance. Fluffy off white head. Deep hop aroma. Somewhat grassy, some earthy, some breadlike notes. Not overly bitter, but the hops is definitely there. Some sweetness left after the hop bitterness. Nice balance of hops to malt. Very easy drinking as far as an IPA goes. I do love my Venom, but I like Hellrazer more. The alcohol is nicely hidden. Does not leave an aftertaste like some of their beers. Nice job Jim and Bo. Nice replacement of Venom. Would like to try them side by side to see what it is like.

Solid beer - nice gold color. Both the taste and aroma is citrus hops. Could be hoppier though, not as good as Venom.

this is the beer that replaced my beloved Venom. it’s not bad, but it’s a little weak for an IPA. More like an APA. pours light orange amber with a white head. lots of lacing. malty, hoppy aroma. spicy hops. taste is malt and hops. pretty straightforward.

This was a very hoppy beer potent at over seven percent abc nice fruit esters and not overly carbonated
