3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from State Line. Pours translucent gold with 1-finger white clingy head. Nose is ricey malt, pale malt, resiny Sorachi hops, pineapple. Tastes crisp, with the ricey pale malt up front, then the hit of Sorachi hops, resiny, piney, with tangerine and grapefruit notes. The finish is crisp, and the palate heft is medium. This one is unique and enjoyable.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured into a pint glass. This beer is pale-yellow in color with a 2-3 finger off-white head that dissapates quickly. The aroma has a slight lemongrass smell to it and not much else. The taste quite honestly is horrendous. The taste is light and watery kind of like a macro lager. This is not at all an IPA. I'm rather dissapointed in this beer and I'm a huge fan of Duclaw. I guess I'll give them a pass this time.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour out of 22 oz bottle, thanks to Caleb! Hazy orange pour with thin white head, aroma has notes of big lemon, grass, spicy and floral zesty and floral notes, touch of earth, biscuit and bread. Taste is a mix of lemon, grain, some spice and zesty floral notes, touch of earth, biscuit and bread, finishing fairly bitter and spicy. Tasty and refreshing, though a bit old.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
This borders on false advertising. If you’re going to brew a rice ale, make sure it says so on the bottle. There’s a big difference between that and a Sorachi Ace IPA. Pours a typical dark hay of an IPA without any head to speak of. Smells like crap, literally. No floral, no citrus, at best a bit artificial sweetness. And taste? Even worse. Tastes like rice flavored sugary bubblegum. Pass this one by.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap. Fizzy white head on a slightly hazy amber orange. Citrus, lemon zest, hay, and light graininess in the aroma. Zesty lemon hoppiness but could be cleaner and brighter in the flavor, grassy notes and alight herbs as well. Grassy dry finish that doesnt seem to fit. Lighter silky body with vey vibrant carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Pour was a nice clear golden color with little off-white head. Aroma of fruit, bread and some spice. Mouth is that of a mild IPA with some hop bite with some lemon finish. Nice medium body and was actually quite refreshing after battling the heat. Mild lacing throughout. Wish I would have brought my growler.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft. Pours clear gold with an off-white head; good retention and lacing. Aroma is heavy citrus, honey, straw, and light toasted malt. Flavor is initially caramel malt, but quickly transitions to citrus, hoppy taste; lime/grapefruit bitter finish; very refreshing. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation.
