Haunting the congregation with its distinct copper color and rich toasted malt flavor, this true German-style Oktoberfest lager is smooth in body and uses German hops in the brewing process to balance out the distinctive, toasted malt sweetness. The clean smoothness is created by the long conditioning (lagering) process of 8 weeks.

Nice and malty, smooth with some caramel and nuts, Hints of bread and a bit of the hops come on with a touch of bitterness towards the end.

Mlieby hooked me up with some of these as extras in an already great trade... Thanks Matt, I love a good German lager, and just in time for Oktoberfest! Enjoyed from my CBC tulip.. Polished amber with a foamy white head.. Proper complex malty nose, nothing is overdone and still definitely not one dimensional, clean and smells Continental. Flavor fires on all the same cylinders, very smooth on the palate and still pretty drinkable despite the higher ABV.. Tastes like the leaves should be changing. Medium body and bubble... Very well made. Thanks again Matt, this one is a big winner.

Bottle. Pours a dark copper color with white head. Wheat bread, malty, wheat biscuit aromas. Bread, grainy, malty, slick sweet flavors. Eh.

Poured from 12 bottle. Malty notes lead through on this amber colored ale. Notes of barley shine through keeping true to tradition. --you've been Dubbed.

Bottle. Pours out a nice orangy/amber color with a small off white head. Aroma is lots of bready grains, caramel, light bitterness cereal malts, toast. Taste is smooth, much the same, lots of caramel, multi-grain bread, cardboard, floral grassy bitterness. eh, its an Oktober.

Just going through all the Oktoberfests I massed up over the past couple months before they go bad. This one is average among a category that strives for average. Pours brown with OK head and lacing. A little touch of mash sourness. Some barley. Aftertaste gets annoying after a few sips. Bottle.

12 ounce bottle poured into a teku. Pours a hazed copper with a white froth of foam. Good head retention. The aroma has bread and spice carrot cake notes. Taste lends bready sweetness with some smarties and grass found toward the back end. Medium bodied. Medium to high carbonation.

Poured from bottle. Aroma of malt, citrus and maple syrup. Cloudy amber with slight head. Tasting toasted malt, brown sugar, caramel and citrus hops. Crisp, clean feel. Good choice.
