COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Haunting the congregation with its distinct copper color and rich toasted malt flavor, this true German-style Oktoberfest lager is smooth in body and uses German hops in the brewing process to balance out the distinctive, toasted malt sweetness. The clean smoothness is created by the long conditioning (lagering) process of 8 weeks.

bottle to pint glass. poured a clear copper orange color with nice off white head. mild carbonation. aroma is medium sweet malt. maybe slight citrus peel. not much else. the flavor though is not offensive at all. nice malt balance semi sweet and somewhat earthy flavor. get a bit of a twang on the end...mild hop presence. overall still quite drinkable.

Really average and sub par. Weak aroma and taste. The first duclaw I had was the only 1 of liked.

Bottle, thanks sevenhokie! Caramel malt aroma with toasted malt and bready malt notes. Pours amber colored with a thin off white head with good retention and some lacing. Starts with weak caramel malt sweetness with some bready notes. Finishes smooth with some toasted malt as well as a bit of a bitter hoppy finish. Started out ok, but didn't balance itself out well with the hops.

Pours a clear orange body with a small craggy beige head that had nice retention. The nose is sweet Munich malt with a minimal hop presence, sweet and clean. The flavor is malt driven as expected, but there’s a bitter hoppy finish. It’s just a touch grainy and husky, but not terribly so. Medium bodied and a little clingy with fizzy carbonation. Not the best, but not a terrible effort either. About what I’ve come to expect from Duclaw.

12 oz bottle from the 4 type sampler case. Rich and sweet, this beer has a lot to offer fans of the dark side.

Good upfront malt fades quick to a lighter body. Head also dissipates fast. Finishes dry after a honey sweetness with a touch of caramel, toasted malt, and a touch of hay. Just enough hops to balance. Light mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
