COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The winner of Baltimore Magazine’s “Best Beer in Baltimore 1998.” We’d like to thank the smooth, roasted malt flavor. The mild hop presence. The little people.

Yawn! Pours amber with a big white head that rapidly dissipates. Not a lot on the nose. The taste has a bit of biscuit to it. Meh!

Reviewed from notes. Pours a moderate amber color with a light tan head. The nose brings some lightly-toasted malt and biscuits as well as light pine and citrus hops. A bit of an earthy character there as well. Taste is light malt with a bit of hops. Slightly bitter and dry feel with a good body. Drinks pretty well and is another well-made beer from DuClaw. On tap at Duclaw, Bowie on 14 July 2006. Quite handsome - clear, bright, mid coppery-red in colour. Hint of smoky malt in the aroma. Some sweetish caramel in the flavour. Pretty unremarkable on the palate until a metallic tang kicks in at the finish. Not really my thing.

Draught at Bel Aire Pub: Faint aroma of malt. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, off-white/slight tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Good lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of malt and some caramel. Light to medium body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Malt finish. Not good.

Poured a clear honey-reddish color with a light head. Aroma is of pale malts with some caramel, cotton candy, and fruit. Taste has some good malt flavors with spices and cotton candy. Overall pretty sweet. Some resin notes go along with the malts well. Overall decent.

4oz sample from a flight. Pour is amber with a finger of slight off white head. Nose is malt, caramel, and a bit of roasted malt as well. Taste is a red lager with lurking caramel and roasted malt notes. This is a tasty, malt guys brew that I would enjoy again.
