COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The winner of Baltimore Magazine’s “Best Beer in Baltimore 1998.” We’d like to thank the smooth, roasted malt flavor. The mild hop presence. The little people.

I was bored by this one...looks nice and red with a little head but there’s just not much flavor to it. Flat malt, a tiny, tiny bit of hops, that’s it. Body has little character and it almost tastes spoiled the flavor is so flat. Bleh

Draft at Bel Air location. Pretty cut and dry here. Red color, bland taste. Just not much too this one.

It is amber. Flavor of lightly roasted malt, little-no flavor hops, light, clean bitter finish. Nothing too challenging, probably the choice for those who want something a little more complex than the kangaroo.

[Draft at the Bowie location] An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is light with notes of caramel - too light for my liking. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and bread, and with a light note of metal in the finish. I find it kind of boring - lacking character.

Draft: Poured a reddish brown with an off white head. There is little nose if at all. Taste is sweet and bubblegum.

Draft at Arundel Mills - Didn’t like this one very much. Expected a very drinkable red, but the taste really was off. Color / appearance was good and inviting. Not recommended, but maybe this was a bad batch.

Yawn! Pours amber with a big white head that rapidly dissipates. Not a lot on the nose. The taste has a bit of biscuit to it. Meh!

Draught at Bel Aire Pub: Faint aroma of malt. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, off-white/slight tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Good lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of malt and some caramel. Light to medium body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Malt finish. Not good.

Clear red-brown body. Aroma and taste are roughly the same -- non-descript malty and sweet.

If you drink DuClaw's beer this is not the one to get (everthing else I have had by them is much better). Clearly brewed to appease the Killian's crowd. Very thin body, faint aromas and a not to pleasant taste. Very much like a better version of Killian's, for whatever that is worth.
