2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jnkor (291) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Aroma is spiced but lacking much else. Kinda of a soap edge. Poured an orangish yellow with a white head and very clear. Taste was also spiced and like soap, and not much else. Would be better with more malt, more yeast notes, more hop, etc. Palate was watery, not at all bad, but not too memorable.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ROGUE (1566) - Newark, Delaware, USA - APR 19, 2013
12oz bottle. Pours a honey amber color with a two finger whitish head with good retention and lacing. The nose is sweet and spicey, with a good bit of clove and brown sugar. Herbal and spicy up front with touches of cracked pepper and cardamom. Hints of apple and pear with assorted fruit sweetness. Belgian yeast creates a soft funk, followed by a milder malt backbone. Light to medium body, high carbonation, and dry on the tongue.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Emeister84 (442) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - APR 8, 2013
Aromas of cardamom, tea, grains of paradise, floral hops, and lemon. Golden copper with decently lasting, white head foam. Dry, floral, herbaceous, and with a snappy bitterness. Medium bodied with lively carbonation, spicy, and finishes with a clean citrusy and earthy flavor.
2.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 ermahgang (6) - Virginia, USA - MAR 29, 2013 does not count
Wow, intense aromas on the poor. Spiced indeed! Unfortunately this is not matched by the taste. Smooth and drinkable, but flavor profile is lacking. Hints of spice and ginger, but guess I expected more of a smack in the face after that aroma.
2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ret12 (377) - Maryland, USA - MAR 16, 2013
This beer to me was not backed by enough malt. Slightly spiced with a small belgian finish
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 kramer (3878) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear light copper body under a small fizzy white head that fade to a thin covering pretty quickly. The nose is intensely spicy with a lot of herbal character, floral notes, and some light Belgian yeast. The flavor is just a little too over spiced for my tastes. There’s a lot of camomile in here and it overpowers much of the benefits from the yeast that they used. It’s much more like drinking herbal tea than a beer. Light bodied and with very fizzy spritzy carbonation. I think this clearly belongs in the Spice/Herb/Veggie style, cause there’s nothing that says Belgian Ale about this beer. This one doesn’t do anything for me.

Bottle. Deep gold, light head, medium body, a bit slick. Spiced aroma with a little sweetness. Overall okay.
3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lmndrsn (23) - Philadlephia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 8, 2013
Thin, white head. Nice carbonation, bready, yeasty taste. Not too much going on here. Inoffensive at worst.

This beer is intriguing. Has a lot of flavors that blend well together. Not bad but not a favorite.
