Gourmet chocolate raspberry coffee is used in the brewing process to achieve this unique flavor and aroma. With a rich dark color this medium bodied stout finishes fairly dry with subtle hints of chocolate, coffee and raspberry flavors.

Strong chocolate malt smell. Maybe a hint of fruit on the nose but cocoa dominates the experience. Sharp bitter cocoa flavor with slight lingering raspberry. Pretty quick body with not a ton of complexity. lacks a large punch. Not too bad. Smooth chocolate flavors. Raspberry is nice and not overpowering.

12 oz bottle. Sweet chocolate and raspberry aroma, with faint malt and no sign of coffee. Flavor: Quite a bit of raspberry and some chocolate but not so much as to be objectionable or to entirely mask the dark malts. Raspberry builds into the finish, then fades as dark roasted grains with hints of dark chocolate and coffee eventually come to the fore in the aftertaste.

Had this last night for the first time. It was on tap at a local bar/grill. I immediately loved it from the 1st sip! It was dark with great aroma. The chocolate flavor is similar to the DuClaw Sweet Baby Jesus but it was sweeter and not as much bite. The raspberry was a nice smooth complement. There was no after taste like you sometimes get with a more bitter stout. It was smooth like theShock Top Shockolate. I highly recommend!

Pours deep and dark with a bit of garnet, and smallish mocha that reduces quickly to skim. Great aroma, chocolate and raspberries, but on the palate, the ashy taste of coffee grounds is the immediate impression. After five minutes or so, the berries fight back, though not enough to establish sweetness. Finish is bitter, not distressingly so, but more coffee dregs. As occasionally happens with this brewery, this seems like a good concept haphazardly executed. Im fine with one, but Im not going for a second.

bottled - tastes like a chocolate and raspberry flavored stout! Super dark color. Could be a bit sweeter.

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a clear brown with a gaseous head of beige foam. The aroma has ashy, roasty, dry coffee. The taste is initially ashy bitterness, but as the flavor a settle on the tongue, I am able to taste more of the berry sweetness. Lighter bodied stout. Medium carbonation.

This is one big black looken beer, had it at bowsers. Decent head fades rapidly. Cant taste any raspberry in this. The coffee is big and in there but to call this a fruit beer is misleading. Just a really good coffee flavored stout. Seems like more than the 4% listed here. Smell is big coffee aroma. Has lots of personality from beginning to end. But, fer sure its not a fruit beer. Just a simple dry coffee stout.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is raspberry, roast, and chocolate. Medium mouth nice roast, chocolate covered raspberries, very sweet, light bitterness in finish. Good.

Smells of coffee and dark chocolate with a bit of raspberry. Taste is similar but not sweet at all. Not bad at all. Flavors are a bit subdued if anything. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pour. Aroma of chocolate raspberry candy. Stout black with a trace of tan head. Tasting dark chocolate, raspberry, coffee, hops, cola. Slightly oily feel. Pretty good.
