From the Tap, DuClaw Berwery, Baltimore MD, As a person who hates coffee, this beer was Very Good. Because of my dislike for coffee stouts and porter tend to fall of my beer options.... but wne i saw a chocolate Raspberry beer had to try and i must say much better then i would have guessed.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Nice aroma of raspberry. Black with an off white foam head. Bitter with almost no notes of raspberry. Bitter dark chocolate. Lighter bodied than expected. Unimpressive.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Greenville, South Carolina.
Appearance: Pours out a very dark brown body given a slim (very slim, actually), light tan head.
Smell: Easy going, ho-hum roast, vague chocolaty hint with some background faux raspberry.
Taste: Moderately roasty, coffee-ish tone with a little bit of sugared sweetness. Scant chocolate. Middling, unremarkable raspberry. Rather anticlimactic. The finish is sweetish trailing out flavors as mild as when they came in.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body, a bit on the thin side. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Lackluster and frankly bit of a letdown. I’d had hopes. Maybe not high hopes, but hopes none the less. Now, I’m a little gun shy for the Double version. 2x zero is still a big, fat zero.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
BOD 12/29/15. Pours pitch black. Very good head volume and lacing, outstanding retention.
Outstanding nose of bright raspberry over light chocolate, a bit of roast and a touch of char.
Heavy light body that is smooth with a hint of creaminess. Normal carbonation level with a fairly good balance with the body. Effervescence is mild mid-palate and closes with a nice prickly finish.
The flavor profile is good, but lacks intensity. It begins with a subtle coffee that flows into a light roast in the middle. Chocolate hints at being present, but you have to search for it. Raspberry makes a light appearance as the finish approaches. The finish is a slow fade of light coffee.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Opaque brown/black color, tan head that drops to a thin cover, dots and spots of lace. Taste is dark malt that adds light carbonation, along with chocolate and raspberry in the swallow, moving from there to a long sweet finish that holds on to the chocolate and raspberry. A light brew, but also strikingly good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at The Brass Tap - U Square, served in a flight. Pours a cloudy dark brown color with amber edges and a small beige head that leaves a lace sheet in the glass along with a ring and an island of film. The primary character here is a chocolate-covered cherry, with toast, tobacco, earth, subtle coffee roast, and raspberry. Light-bodied, with modest carbonation and a dry, smooth mouthfeel that shows a balance between the light fruity tang and faint toasted and roasted malts. Slightly chalky. At first, I didn’t like this and thought something was off. But then the ’chocolate-covered berry’ thing occurred to me, and I guessed that was the intent. Looked it up and it was right! Whew. The menu just said "stout" so I had no guidance. It’s not bad.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz. bottle from Liquor Barn (Jefferson Commons). Aroma: Light to moderate raspberry syrup; moderate roasted peanuts; light chocolate. Appearance: Pure black with a foamy mocha head that settles into a thin ring. Flavor: Immediate, but short lived raspberry followed by peanut roast; very light chocolate throughout; the finish is dry and abrupt. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, very soft carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: The roasted peanut thing is just weird here, especially in light of the "coffee" claim made on the label. An experiment worth skipping.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle. Bottled 12/29/15. Dark pour. Upfront chocolate and raspberry. Thin in the body - but ABV predicts that. Decent.
