Draft at Beer Study. Pours a hazy golden orange with one finger of creamy off white head. Nose shows citrus rind and herbal hops with some resinous notes and bready malt backing. Kind of fruity in the flavor with some sweet citrus and resinous notes on the finish. Medium full body with a piney bitterness.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours a clear copper body with a one finger frothy white head that left some heavy lace. The nose is a mix of grapefruit hops and a heavy caramel and crystal malt base. Not a fan of crystal malt in IPAs, so Im not expecting a whole lot from this. The flavor is exactly what I was expecting, tons of sweet crystal malt. It tastes like a mix of brown sugar and iced tea with a minimal bitterness on the finish. The hops are pretty light as well, which really doesnít help the situation. Medium bodied and slightly clingy with fizzy carbonation. Meh, this is one that I just canít recommend.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Grapefruit and citrus accents, but a little heavier of a beer. The citrus accent gets lost at the end.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours hazy amber/gold, quick one finger head, some lacing, decent retention. Aroma of pear, grapefruit and delicate herbs. Taste is nicely balanced, moderate sweetness, nice bitter profile. Medium bodied, low carbonation, resin mouth feel. Finishes complex with notes of sour apple, pink grapefruit, spruce tips, hard candy and resin. This IPA is a little on the sweet side, which I normally donít care for, but I enjoyed this.
