"XXX-1 Pin-sanity" at Arundel Mills location on 03/30/12. Came to the table a deep mahogany color with no head at all. There was some cocoa, Baker’s chocolate, roasted coffee, and candy canes present in the aroma. Went down fairly thin-bodied, yet kinda smooth. This version also had a relatively low level of carbonation. Plenty more milk chocolate in this version than others taste-wise. A semi-dry finish with some bitter black coffee, Godiva dark chocolate, and some hints of rye here and there. Candy canes were present from beginning to end. I’m not much of a fan of mint, but the peppermint here really worked well with this beer’s chocolate qualities. As a whole, the flavors just seem richer in this version than in the others.

Poured a dark brown color with almost no head. Aroma has lots of peppermint with a touch of rye and chocolate. Taste also has a huge amount of peppermint. A little bit too much, it dominates the other flavors. Overall I like the Jalapeno version the most.

Pours a dark brown color with no head. Not much carbonation to this beer. Strong peppermint aroma. Some chocolate tastes as well. Beer tastes similar to a peppermint patty. Might have overdone the peppermint however. Oh wells.

Deep brown/black pour with a very small tan head. Huge chocolate/dutch cocoa aroma. Rich body of malt, cocoa and rye dryness. Great mouthfeel. Rich but leads to a dryness. Peppermint only comes out at the end after it warms a bit. Nice little experiment boys!
