on Tap @ Duclaw. Extremely dark brown but not totally black. Small amount of head with little to no lacing. The nose hinted that this was going to be a bourbon bomb. Not to say that the bourbon wasn’t noticable and the 10.5% was not hiding anywhere, it was not bad. Lots of chocolate and coffee undertones but lots of astringent alcohol sweetness as well. Was also a bit syrupy in the mouthfeel dept. A good BA Stout. Just needs a bit of refinement.

Bottle. Pours a near black color with almost no head to it whatsoever. Nose is heavily laden with bourbon, and little else - it overwhelms the beer. Taste has some chocolate in there as well as roasting, but is also dominated by the oaky bourbon flavors. Good brew...

On tap at Duclaw-Arundel Mills Aroma-Huge vanilla notes, chocolate notes, dark fruit notes and bourbon notes. Also getting toasted coconut Appearance-Nearly pitch black, some dark red color. Mocha color head that faded quickly. I do see some alcohol legs too. Taste& Palate-Very sweet with at the front of the tongue with a slightly bitter finish. Body is medium-full and thick. I am also getting a little bit of heat Overall-Great beer overall fresh that I think will get better with age so I will be picking up a couple of bottles
