COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Patience. Justified.
A full-bodied, Single Barrel Bourbon-aged Imperial Stout with rich aromas of espresso and dark chocolate, and smooth roasted malt flavor. Aged for 6 months inside charred Kentucky white oak bourbon barrels to add the natural vanilla and caramelized sugar flavors of the bourbon soaked wood to the beer. Each bottle run is drawn from a single barrel, making each batch a unique drinking experience. ABV from 10.5% to 11.5%.

Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, coffee, light hoppy. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate ot heavy bitter with a long duration, sweet chocolate, alcohol, bourbon, vanilla, light oak - wood. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 22oz bottle, Barrel 1 of 3/31/12 Batch, 11.5% ABV. Small tan head atop cola-black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, Bourbon/vanilla, some vinous, light cocoa. Taste is sweet, Bourbon, some vanilla, alcohol, some rum, caramel, light wood. Sticky full body, low carbonation, light burn. Kind of a sweet mess.

Bottle. Poured a black color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted dark chocolate aroma. Medium to heavy toasted dark malt, bourbon wood flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a interesting beer.
