COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Serum is our version of a Double(Imperial) India Pale Ale. It is aggressively hopped at several stages of the brewing process including a dry hopping that takes place little by little over a 2 week period. With an OG close to 19Plato, this beer is big and hoppy, yet has a strong malt backbone that keeps the huge hop bitterness from being overbearing. Available in VERY limited quantities and only at our pub locations.

Too malty/syrup tasting for me. Would definitely prefer a dryer taste. Could imagine this going well with some really smokey gourmet grilled cheese though.

Bottle. Dark gold with a big white head. Aroma is caramel malt and fruity. Taste is tons of fake fruit. Lots of pear and Jolly Ranchers. Medium mouthfeel and carb. Eh.

Taster at pub. Light gold with whit head and lacing. Pink grapefruit, floral and pine notes. Good malt balance, lots of flavor... A fine DIPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured hazy copper colored with a small white head. Aroma of fresh piney hops and toffee. Kind of sweet for my tastes but pretty solid.

An OK IIPA. I’m a little bored with these east coast IIPAs. Aroma was good. Strong caramel malt with a hint of grapefruit. Pour was a clear medium gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was mostly malt. Strong caramel flavor with not much hop flavor. Finish was overly sweet and sticky on the back of the mouth. In a blind taste test I would think this was a barley wine. Mild carbonation.

Pours a clear light gold with white head and decent lacing. Sweet aromas, honey and fruity. Very sweet - - grapefruit, honey, lemon, strawberry. Highly carbonated, very dry. An odd beer.

Pours deep, clear amber into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Resin and vegetable aromas. Sweet caramel and nuts upfront turning to mild resin in the hot finish.
