3.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Excellent double IPA...very similar to the Evolution brewery double. One of their best beers in my opinion.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours cloudy copper with small white head. Aroma is caramel, floral and citrus. Lots of malts. Taste is sweet with less bitterness then expected. Bottle was fresh but this DIPA seemed more malty then hoppy.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
draft This was enjoyed at the Capital Ale House in Fredericksburg. The ale poured a cloudy cider color with good lacing. The head was small but stayed with the ale. The 9% alocohol was very deceptive. There were aromas of citrus, pine and some caramel. The D/IPA had a subtle sweetness and a hint of yeast with pine, citrus. This beer had a full body and average carbonation. The finish was astringent yet smooth.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Generously hopped dark amber 2XIPA, well balanced between green hops, medium bitterness and malt. Solid beer, been a long time since I had a DuClaws, after trying Serum I need to sample more of their offerings.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark Orange-amber body, thin white head, minimal lacing. Nose is initially all gentle caramel malt, resinous hops slowly emerge with successive whiffs. Lightly boozy. Flavor is similar in that the hops are rather non-descript and weak, while the malt base is the dominant aspect (but doesn’t seem overly malty). Medium to full bodied, moderate carbonation and mellow bitterness and lightly sweet and boozy.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours an orange tinged copper color with a thin head which doesn’t sit around long. A struggle to find any aroma, very, very slight malt. While it’s thick on the tongue it’s thin on the flavor. Has the flavor of a low end IPA but the mouthfeel of a DIPA. Very odd build, nothing in excess. Slight caramel, malt, very little bitterness BUT no unpleasant oiliness of other DIPAs. This is a DIPA which seems like you could enjoy all night, but would catch up with you quickly.
