COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Serum is our version of a Double(Imperial) India Pale Ale. It is aggressively hopped at several stages of the brewing process including a dry hopping that takes place little by little over a 2 week period. With an OG close to 19Plato, this beer is big and hoppy, yet has a strong malt backbone that keeps the huge hop bitterness from being overbearing. Available in VERY limited quantities and only at our pub locations.

tap. notes of orange peels, fruity tangerine hops. touch of pine. backed by a sweet grassy toasted toffee. sticky. not overly sweet, but surely not a westcoast ipa. kinda like a hoppy barley wine. ..

Bottle to shaker glass. Pours hazy amber, quick 1 finger head. Nice lacing and retention. Aroma of spruce tips and citrus. Taste is pretty balanced with just enough sweetness from the malt to tame the bitterness of the hop bomb. Medium bodied, light carbonation and slightly oily mouth feel. Finishes medium bitter with notes of grapefruit, pine, caramel, hop resin and slight alcohol. I like it!

Thanks Nuf for the six.. resin-citrus balance in the aroma with a little caramel. Flavor a little thin and metallic, a little grapefruit and honey. light amber color with moderate white head. drying on the tongue.

12 oz bottle. Bottled on 04/23/14. (Mr. Bill’s) Roanoke, VA.
Cloudy amber colour with a tiny white head. Sweet, fruity and piney hops, mild bitterness, strong malty sweetness and The flavour is sweet... very sweet with a lots of hops. Fruity and resiny hops. Bitterness and sweet maltiness. Quite balanced. Strong.

355 mL bottle. Pours copper-orange with a small white head. Nice looking beer. The taste and the aroma are similar, with semi-sweet citrus and mixed tropical fruit, with the balance leaning toward the latter. The malt is tertiary to the hop flavours, but is certainly present. A solid if unspectacular brew.

Poured a cooper color with nice white head and plenty of lace. Aroma was a nice citrus mix, not heavy on grapefruit more like Sunny D, with a malt backbone. Taste was light citrus with a cereal maltyness. Some very light alcohol noted in in finish and it slightly bitters in the late finish but never overwhelming on either. In fact I loved the balance here and very much enjoyed it, well done. Medium bodied and oily with low co2.

Liked this a lot. Brown pour with a healthy off white head. Lots of carbonation. Resiny front with a creamy, bitter. This is among my favorite beers of the last couple of years. I do love the double IPA’s.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. This beer pours beautifully, copper in color a bit hazy, nice foamy white head and lots of lacing. Aroma of citrus fruit, some caramel and some alcohol. Taste is quite balanced, hoppy but with a nice malty backbone. Very good and drinkable.

Beautiful transparent copper pour w/ a retaining white head that leaves lacing. The aroma is slightly faint for the style but there are some citrus hops notes to be found. The taste is like a light & drinkable standard ipa. It’s pretty clean as the malt presence really mellows out the citrus hops. This makes it easy on the palate & a good drinkable DIPA overall!

Oh crap I just ordered their highest Abv beer on tap. Pours copper, half inch foam head this vanishes, does leave a lacing pattern. Light pine resin nose. Taste begins with mild toast and caramel, then strong bitterness cuts in. Mild grapfruit, resin lingers. Light booze burn, medium to full body with light carbonation.

Dark unclear orange. Taste is big bitter orange, lots of malty sweetness.a bit rough around the edges with just hints of raw hop leafs. Bold, bitter and not too shabby.
