3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ROGUE (1581) - Newark, Delaware, USA - APR 19, 2013
22oz bottle. Pours a very dark brown color with a one finger dark tan head. Smells of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, oak, toasted malts, and vanilla. Tastes of dark fruits with some light caramel and brown sugar notes upfront. Some vanilla, chocolate, roasty malts, and cocoa powder follow. Slightly bitter roasted coffee in the finish. Plenty of warming alcohol was present throughout. Medium bodied and somewhat sticky mouthfeel with medium carbonation.

Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. A big beer. Overly sweet and unfocused.

This beer was pretty complex. A start of coffee with a creamy sweet flavor in between and a slightly dark bitter finish
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 sloth (2251) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - FEB 8, 2013
Thin tan head, fair retention, sticky lace. Almost black, ruby hued ale. Nose of soy first, lil roast, chocolate and grains. Body is fully medium, lil oily with a soft carbonation. Some cherry chocolate cough medicine flavors goin on with a big ass alcohol kick to boot. This would be better than most cough medicines but it aint cough medicine, sooooo. Fuck it. Bitch is tough. Bomber from statelineliquors.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 budznsudz (337) - Audubon, New Jersey, USA - DEC 30, 2012
Pours dark and opaque with a thin ring of head. The aroma is oaky cocoa, roasted malt and black licorice. The taste is fruity malt and rich toasted malt. Barleywine and Russian imp stout are my two favorite styles and they compliment each other quite well here.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Arayaga2 (1635) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 29, 2012
Inky brown/black with a cm of camel-colored head. Aroma is chocolate, fig, and light coffee. Taste is the same, and rich and sweet, with the prominent minerality of well-water from my childhood, and some autolyzed yeast components, which mingle with acrid roast notes. $10/22oz
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 PhillyCraft (2117) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 9, 2012
On tap, pours a black shade with barely any head, small amount of lacing Aromas and flavor is ultra buttery oak, toffee, hops, and some bitter grains, roasted malts, chalk, vanilla, cereal, and other smooth notes. Maybe my favorite of the lineup Duclaw brought. Makes sense since devils milk is my all time fave from them.
