Sweet Baby Jesus Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is a complex, robust porter. It is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by strong notes of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.5% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry and roasty with notes of chocolate, espresso and peanut butter so tasty, you’ll have no choice but to exclaim the name!

Taster at pub. Deep brown with tan head. Smells like a snicker bar... Very sweet and a little thin... Good for a dessert beer... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Pedro. Pours clear, rich brown with a frothy tan head. The nose holds dry peanut butter, cocoa, a bit of toasted cereal. Medium sweet flavor with lots of toasted, grainy cereal, some earth, chocolate, hints of dusty peanuts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with further toasty bread, peanut essence, cocoa. Pretty solid overall, especially for a novelty beer.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2014 Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The nose is rich, roasty, rich dark chocolate, peanut butter, candy, sweet, juicy, liquorice, peanut butter cup and earth. The taste is smooth, roasty, toast, prune, plum, raisin, earth, nut, earth and toast with a laid-back finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Loving the peanut butter on the nose. Easy drinking also. Nice.

Bottle. 5/26/14. Pours deep brown-black with a thick, fluffy off-brown head. Aroma is choclate, peanut butter, earthy, slightly grassy, some herbal-ness. Taste is very fun; chocolate, peanut butter, earthy, bittersweet, some grassiness; finish is bittersweet chocolate and some dry peanut flavor. Simple but very nice. Nice lacing. Full bodied. Medium carbonation, Nice, tasty, fun.

Bottle to snifter (shared by jmborggren). Looks sold; a translucent dark brown with bubbly light beige lacing. Smells solid; LOTS of peanut butter and some mild roast. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Solid beer.

Sweet Baby Jesus is a rich dark brown opaque liquid with a thin ring of mocha bubbles. Nose is strong with roasted nut presence. Upon further review, there is a definite mocha hint there as well. The First taste is chocolate and medium malt. the peanut becomes more apparent towards the end with a decent amount of bitters. Quite a bit more dry than anticipated. The body is fluid and lively. Very interesting beer.

12 oz bottle for $4.00 at Water’s Edge in Bridgewater. How disappointing to discover this gem uses partial artificial ingredients (read the label). Guess I would have loved it otherwise.

Fantastic beer! One of the best I’ve had all year. I’ve had other beers that attempted this flavor but this is the first one that I feel did it perfectly. Aroma was huge and perfect. Strong peanut butter and chocolate. Smells just like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a one finger tan head. Taste was awesome as well. A little thin, but strong chocolate flavor with a nice peanut butter backbone. The peanut butter wasn’t as strong in the taste as it was in the aroma, but at least it was present. Mild carbonation. Will buy some more to last until next winter

Awesome aroma of peanut butter, dry and bitter coffee and sweet chocolate. Appears dark and translucent brown. Taste is that dry roasted peanuts, bitter chocolate, roasted malts, and bubbly cracker finish. Could be a tad sweeter and incorporate the peanut butter and chocolate more but pretty swell.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with beige head that lasts. The aroma is chococolate, roast, and strong peanut butter. Medium mouthfeel with milk chocolate, light roast and sweet peanut butter in finish. Good.
