3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Bottled: 10/10/13. A DEEP mahogany pour with a thin British khaki head. Peanut butter, milk chocolate, freshly roasted coffee, and caramel dominate the RICH aroma. Smells just like a peanut butter cup. Medium-bodied on the way down. Peanut butter and milk chocolate upfront in the taste. Some dark chocolate and roasted coffee finish things off. Some charred grains here and there. A tasty dessert beer. I couldíve sworn I had rated this before.

25 nov 2013, tap. Black. Nose is amazing!!! Crunchy peanut butter and whole wheat bread crust. Thin body and moderately fizzy. This tastes just like peanut butter sandwich on thick whole wheat bread. It delivers just what it promises. Wow.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: NOV 25, 2013 Pours a dark chocolatety black. A thick tanish head fizzes up, but doesnít last too long. Soon as you pour it you smell coffee/peanutty deliciousness! It hits the nostrils immediately. You really want to take a whiff again to get the hints of peanut butter. When you drink it the tastes are in this order, light peanut butter, coffee, chocolate, sweet baby Jesus! There is a small amount of bitterness to the palate at the end and sometimes during but itís smooth to the end.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: deep brown body, black center with a small layer of khaki foam that sits on top. Aroma is very nutty. Peanut butter cupp-y with some milk chocolate notes, smooth roasted peanuts, light brown sugar. Like a liquid Reese's Cup. Taste is the same, perhaps lighter on the peanuts. Sweet milk chocolate, peanut, molasses, & a mild touch of dark fruit. Lightly bitter roast in the finish with some milky peanut butter. Good stuff.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Split with Tom before the Cymbals Eat Guitar show on the night of the 50th anniversary of JFKís assassination. Pours Coca-Cola with a tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate, sweet malt, and subtle peanut butter. Taste is a bit chalky with some chocolate and very minute trace of peanut butter, which I probably would not have pick up on if it hadnít been in the name. Thin palate, too, but hey, itís a porter, so what did I expect? Decent.

Bottle courtesy of Pat. Pours a near black, deep brown with just a thin cover of beige head and spots of lace. Nose of peanuts, Nutella, hot cocoa, roast. Thin mouthfeel, slightly watery. Nice peanut and chocolate taste with a bit of bitterness in the finish.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Black color. Decent head. Aroma is definitely peanut butter, with cocoa also. Maybe hazelnut too. Light sweetness. A tad watery. Some roasted malt taste. Creamy texture. Kind of a funky flavor. Ok. The best part is the aroma of PB. Sweet baby Jesus! If you ainít first your last. - Ricky Bobby.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Capones during my bday lunch trip. Poured a solid pitch black body with dark ruby edges with an average sized foamy beige head. Aroma is big chocolatey Tootsie Roll with a hint of peanut butter and a touch of light coffee. I found the body to be a bit on the thin side with average to softer carbonation and a lingering aftertaste. Flavor is burnt char, chocolate, Tootsie Roll, hint of peanut butter and coffee. Good beer.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. As thick as youíd expect ... deep and rich. The peanut butter thing doesnít come across that well in beer ... almost off-putting actually. But among the beers Iíve tried that have attempted the peanut butter thing, this is the least gross. The peanut stuff overwhelms both the initial whiff and the first taste ... but if you set it aside, this ainít a bad porter. But sheesh, I wish they hadnít done the peanuts. (#5323, 11/12/2013)
