This draft brew from a restaurant poured a small sized head of foamy brown colored bubbles that were and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque except at the edges dark ruby red brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was toasted malt dark malt and mild toffee. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a lingering mild roasted malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of roasted malt toffee toasted malt mild hops and brown malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

12oz bottle drank at DCA between connecting flights. Surprised to say that I liked this one. Ordered blind because I liked the name. Definitely didn’t work out as a good dinner beer but it made for a great desert. The peanut flavor is really strong in this, would have preferred more of the chocolate notes but overall pretty delicious really.

I must say, this is a special brew. This whole chocolate/peanut butter wannabe Reese’s porter thing has really taken off of the last year or so -- gone are the days of just porters, now they must involve some gimmick. SBJ throws in the gimmick, but pulls it off excellently. Nose of pure peanut butter rises from a coal black body with brownish head, nice lacing. Taste is chocolate and peanut on a near perfect body that gives you the impression of a milkshake.

Picked up a 6 pack while in DC
Heard a lot about this beer - supposed to taste like a reese’s peanut butter cup in a glass - and it does.
Plenty of peanut butter taste.

This was poured into a pint glass. Bottled 01/12/15.
The appearance had a quick slim finger’s white head that quickly dissipated. No lacing was there at all.
The smell started off with more of a chocolate to peanut butter blend but as it warmed, the peanut butter came out stronger.
The taste was pretty much the same as the chocolate faded as it warmed. There’s a slight quick salty to sweet peanut butter aftertaste with no finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent session quality on it.
Overall, pretty good peanut butter chocolate porter I’d have it again.

Bottle thanks to Brian! Pours a clear brown with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of rich peanut butter with some sweet chocolate and a bit of dark grains underlying. Flavor is more peanut butter forward backed by sweet chocolate and some sweet dark grains.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours dark brown with a thin of off white head. Really strong peanut butter, roasted nuts, and chocolate on the nose. Flavor is more bitter than it should be. Dry, bitter finish. Not a fan.

Bottle from Drinks of the World Winterthur. Poured deep brown with a mocca head. Explosion of aromas with peanut and chocolate in the lead, but also pecan nuts and caramel. Great peanut and chocolate flavours, dry roasted coffee towards the finish. Quite unique, not refined, but definitely likeable.
