4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Location: 12 oz bottle with jcos, 10/6/13
Aroma: The nose is roasted coffee malts, dark chocolate, and peanut butter
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head and spotty lace
Flavor: The flavor is really a lot like a peanut butter cup, with dry roast and dark chocolate
Palate: The feel is very smooth and rich, with a soft carbonation, and a dry roasted finish
This is a very interesting beer. It’s got all the fun of a peanut butter cup without becoming overly sweet. The roasted coffee malts provide a nice balance. Very nicely done. I really enjoyed this.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 6, 2013 Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy brown head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was roasty chocolate, nut, coffee and a hint of peanut butter. The flavor was dryish and somewhat bitter with notes of cocoa, roasty malts, nut, toffee and coffee. Long dryish, bitter and roasty finish of coffee, cocoa and nut. Medium body. Solid but I was hoping for better.

Tap at Bowie. Big chocolate peanut flavors. Really sweet, dessert beer territory. Too sweet to want to go back for more. Sort of one-dimensional, but it is truly a peanut butter Porter I suppose.

A complex aroma of chocolate, peanuts, and malt. A dark chocolate color but not much head. An interesting taste of dark chocolate and peanuts. Palate is dark chocolate.

Very dark beer, small head. Creamy texture, bit of carbonation. Honestly, I don?t think I smelled or tasted much in the way of peanut butter. Instead, the espresso is the strongest flavor. Not as good as my friend Mike thinks it is, but better than my wife thinks it is. She said it made her want to say "Sweet Baby Jesus", but not in a good way.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is all things peanuts. Flavor is peanut butter and not much else. Its as advertised a peanut butter beer. Not much of the base beer comes through. Leaves a rich peanut butter as it goes down. Good novelty beer but having more than a sample would be tough to get down.

bottle. Near black with minimal head. Malty with kind of a bitter peanutiness. I’m not sure if the bitterness is from some hops, or if the peanuts are bitter. I guess I don’t get why you’d hop up a peanut butter beer. It would be better without the bitterness, but this is still pretty tasty.

12oz bottle, big thanks to Sloth for the extra! I love peanut butter porters almost as much as Watson, and have wanted to try this one for a while! Bottled 6/15/13. Poured into my DFH IPA glass (it was handy...). Mostly clear dark brown color. Nice, thin tan head. Good bits and short ropes of lace. Nice peanut butter in the nose, rich and chewy. Hint of chocolate, but more rich nuttiness. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation, lightly sticky in the finish. Medium to bigger body. Not as chewy as my favorite porters, but smooth and easy drinking, with a nice, long peanut butter aftertaste. The best bottled PB porter I’ve had yet, for sure... Not just a nice PB flavor in the nose, but good long PB in the finish, too... That makes up a bit for the somewhat thin body. Moderate bitter taste. Some sweet in the finish. Nice peanut butter porter. Better than Listermann’s from the bottle, but on par from the tap version. Willoughby’s draft PB porter blows this out of the water from what I remember, but all three are a treat still.

Deep brown/black pour with some orange hue, thin beige head slightly bubbly .... Aroma of peanut butter mostly with chocolate and roasted malts as well .... Taste is mostly roasted malts, with light coffee, chocolate and sadly only light peanut butter .... Bitter hops come out on the backend and linger into the roasted chocolate malt finish ... Medium bodied and abv hidden well. Smells fantastic and not a bad little porter
