COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sweet Baby Jesus Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is a complex, robust porter. It is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by strong notes of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.5% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry and roasty with notes of chocolate, espresso and peanut butter so tasty, youíll have no choice but to exclaim the name!

Awesome aroma of peanut butter, dry and bitter coffee and sweet chocolate. Appears dark and translucent brown. Taste is that dry roasted peanuts, bitter chocolate, roasted malts, and bubbly cracker finish. Could be a tad sweeter and incorporate the peanut butter and chocolate more but pretty swell.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with beige head that lasts. The aroma is chococolate, roast, and strong peanut butter. Medium mouthfeel with milk chocolate, light roast and sweet peanut butter in finish. Good.

Keg @ Beer Run. Pretty surprised Iíve not had this yet. Deep brown pour with a tiny tan head. The nose is strong roasted peanuts and milk chocolate. Man, theyíre not messing about. Very sweet aromas. Earthy Nutella spread, rocky road fudge. The taste is of dry-roasted nuts and milk chocolate. Mocha powder, baked marshmallows. Surprisingly dry finish. Medium body, slightly oily. Actually pretty tasty.

Pours deep dark inky brown with a small thin white head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is milk chocolate, peanut butter and some roast. Taste is sweet with a touch of bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth and soft carbonation.

Very dark brown in color, this beer has a brownish-orange glow around the edges when viewed from above. It smells powerful, oily of strongly roasted peanuts and powdered cocoa. Is this what baby Jesus smelled like? Perhaps, if his parents were peanut farmers. Itís a powerful aroma, and I wonder if itís telling at all of its flavor. The flavor is strong with roasted malts and chocolate, with just enough peanut flavor to take the edge off the chocolate. Itís different, but good. Not often that a brewer can pull off a good PBC ale. Impressive.

UPDATED: APR 16, 2014 Bottle into a tulip glass. Pour is jet black. Aroma is of every kids dream, some type of candy bar. Taste is thick and rich, full of chocolate coffee and peanut with a rich malt under it all. Finish is warm and complex.

Taste pretty damn good actually. Peanut really works well with this. Just enough to give a nice taste. Cloudy dark brown without any head or lacing. Nutty dark chocolate aroma with nice roast. Finishes with bitterness and sweetness. On tap at DC Beer Festival.

On tap at Sharp Edge. Sweet nose of cocoa, mocha, peanut butter, Graham crackers. Very aromatic. Dark black opaque with creamy tan lacing head. Medium watery body with medium-light carbonation. Tastes light with mild chocolate, moderately sweet with peanut butter and chocolate after. Nice, but a little sweet.

Pours a typical deep brown with a thin white head that dissipates. Aroma smells of peanut butter. Faint at first but more apparent as the beer warms to room temp. Taste is much the same, improving as it warms. Its a fairly thin mouth feel but as the beer warms in your mouth, flavors of peanut butter and chocolate dance across the palate. Iím not much of a porter drinker, but this is a great compliment to the typical porter taste which is often too flat and bland on the palate for my liking.

A hazed dark brown porter with a thick frothy nitro brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light peanut vanilla, malt balls, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light vanilla and chocolate covered malt balls, a bit musty, surprisingly good. On tap at Corner Foodery.
