COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2011, this Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by rich flavors of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.2% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry, and roasty with lingering notes of chocolate and peanut butter so savory, you will exclaim its name!

bottle that poured a dark brown with a tan head and an oily lacing. aroma is medium roasted malts, lots of chocolate with lots of peanut butter and or just peanuts. the flavor is a creamy blend of roasted malts, lots of chocolate and peanut butter...there is a mild sweetness from the malts but this predominately a solid porter with peanut butter and chocolate...for me its not quite full body but close...nice flavor real or artificial it zero’d in on it and nailed it...drink on

Very dark with red tint. Aroma is chalky chocolate peanut butter. Taste follows nose. Bitterness lingers.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear dark maple brown color, beige head, lace streaks. Strong aroma of peanut butter malt. Taste is malt, but sweet peanut butter actually is the winner here. It sweeps to the finish, where a little chocolate and light hops turn this into a drinkable Resse’s Peanut Butter Cup. Very distinct, but a little goes a long way.

Reviewing from notes from a July trip to Pittsburgh. This was a bomber, poured into a plastic Solo cup in a hotel room where there was no other glassware option aside from drinking right from the bottle. Appearance: Pours very dark, and forms a thick, frothy tan head that lasts for quite a long time. Smell: This smelled more or less like a Reese’s Cup in a glass, with some hints of beer malt around the edges of the mass of chocolate and peanut butter. Taste: Exactly as the nose, this was effectively like drinking an alcoholic Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. There were hints of some charred malt, but primarily a sweet blast of milk chocolate and peanut butter. Mouthfeel: Typical porter mouthfeel, light to medium-light in body. Overall: I rather enjoyed this beer, and will likely pick it up again should I ever run across somewhere in Cincinnati that carries it.

Really delivers with the aroma and has a good taste. Pitch black. I liked it but couldn’t drink a bunch.

A good peanut butter beer. Pours a deep black with a tan head. Smells great, of peanut brittle. Taste is more chocolate then peanut butter, but well balanced, with a sweet finish. Had in the bottle.

Ok. This may be a sweet beer, but I like these. Chocolate and banana taste.

Tried on draft and in a bottle: This is tough, because it’s a little all over the board for me. I’ve tried it sometimes and been greeted by a liquid Peanut Butter Cup, other times it’s full of a thick chocolate flavor. When it’s great, it’s a blend of chocolate with a nice Peanut buttery finish that leaves a bitter espresso bite... Great beer...just hard to rate for me.
