COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2011, this Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by rich flavors of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.2% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry, and roasty with lingering notes of chocolate and peanut butter so savory, you will exclaim its name!

355ml bottle pours black in color with a finger and a half of light tan head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is peanut butter and chocolate with some light roasted grain notes. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with the peanut butter and a light roasted grain bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, this is one of the most interesting porters I have sampled in a long time. Well balanced and tasty, I highly recommend this for an awesome after dinner drink. You won’t be disappointed.

Very interesting porter with the peanut taste that caught my attention! Might not be the best smelling in the bottle but as a draft it will drive the peanut butter lovers into grabbing a glass! I would suggest it as a dessert or night cap as it will fill you up!

Bottle, sourced by Thiru in Geneva. I was intrigued but concerned by this - I’m increasingly less tolerant of stupid ingredients in beer and peanut butter seemed to be pretty much up there in weirdness. Peanut butter also isn’t really my thing. Jet black pour, thin white foam. It was actually quite nice, some nice sweetish roasty chocolatey malt flavours and an unusual nutty sweetness from the peanuts with a warming boozy base. Not sure I’d go out of my way to brew a batch myself with peanut butter, but this was an experiment which turned out ok for a change.

Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, hazelnut and pecan. Finally some peanut butter. Taste is rich toasty malts, mocha, pecan, peanut butter and caramel. Some medium bitterness on the tip but it all mellows nicely. Appearance is a very dark amber with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

Darkish brown with a slight white head. Aroma is peanut butter cuppy. Taste is the same, but not overly sweet. This is extremely well done in terms of the favors. $2/12oz ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of soft chocolate, some coffee, and peanut butter. Flavour is quite rich with lots of chocolate and peanut butter in lovely balance. Rich and full-bodied for a porter. Delicious.

I thought this had a thin mouthfeel, but was happy with the flavor. Chocolate and peanut butter are well blended with a hint of roast in the finish. Sweet without being cloying. Smells fantastic.

Bottle shared by Matt W. Strong nutty toffeeish peanut butter both in aroma and flavour. Slightly thin bodied but nicely rich, also chocolatey and roasty. Very very tasty, easy drinking.
