Bottle into nonic pint. Pours deep, deepbrown near black. No real head. Aroma is roast, peanuts, chocolate, coffee. Taste is incredibly roasty, peanut but not really peanut butter. Chocolate, lactose. Sweet, creamy mouthfeel. Actually pretty decent.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours the opaque inky brown of a porter with the creamy off white head. Aroma is mary jane candy bar, chocolate and peanut butter and fresh ground coffee. Taste is.....ah......uh......metallic, soggy coffee grounds. Little of the aroma transfers.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On draft at Churchkey DC on Zwanze Day. Pours a clear cola brown with a bubbly tan head. Peanut butter dominates the nose. Chewy Snickers bar flavor with a bitter finish. Interesting. Definitely not a session beer.

What a terrible version of berr! This was on draft at Earth Wood and Fire in Baltimore. The aroma smelled of fake peanut butter and chocolate toffee, but this is where the fun ended, This tasted of bitter aloe vera Robitussin medicine. I was shocked that this was considered a porter. I tasted earthy herbacious grassy leaves, with black licorice and cooked veggies, cough drop and a bit of menthol. I took one sip and was hapily finished with this dreadful experience. I woul never ever drink this concoction ever again.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is very much peanut butter and chocolate! Roasted peanuts and slightly bitter chocolate are the first tastes I get, followed by strong roasted malt presence and dark bread, followed by a slight saltiness that goes well with the chocolate. What surprises me is that this isnít a sweet beer, which you would think it would be, no, this is a nice savory beer. The beer certainly has that roasted malt/coffee flavor that porters should have, it just also has an extra dimension, depth really, that the peanut butter and chocolate provides. Great taste!

Poured from a chilled bottle. Dark brown color, full frothy tan head. Strong peanut smell. Taste like peanut butter chocolate magic. I love it.

Poured as a taster - what a crazy beer! There are aromas of roasted peanut butter, slight sweetness, some chocolate and malt. The tastes are peanut right up front, more coffee than chocolate notes on the tongue. I can only imagine delicious ice cream floats with this.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from Wine Warehouse, Charlottesville. Pours nearly black, somewhat thick, small tan head. Smells of peanut butter, chocolate, and roasted peanuts. Tastes funky... unsweetened chocolate, roasted peanuts, and burnt something. Nice try... this kind of beer can be made well (Southern Tier perhaps?), but this isnít it.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Dark brown pour with almost no head. Chocolate and peanut butter are very apparent on the nose with faint floral hops. Coffee and chocolate hit the tongue first but a very distinct peanut butter flavor is very noticeable on the finish. A nicely done, unique porter.
