COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2011, this Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by rich flavors of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.2% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry, and roasty with lingering notes of chocolate and peanut butter so savory, you will exclaim its name!

Served on-tap at Al’s of Hampden. A - Pours dark brown with a small off white head leaving spotty trails of thin lace down the top part of the glass. S - Smells of fresh toasted peanuts, bakers chocolate and the dark roasted grain. The nuts are strong, combining with the chocolate to make this ones nose exactly as advertised. T - Tastes just like it smells, maybe with a bit less nuts, making it a bit more balanced. Some light hop bitterness comes through as it warms up. Finish is roasty, lingering on the palate for quite awhile after consumption. M - Heavy body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, roasty feel. Finish is roasty, lingering for quite awhile. O- Overall a pretty good chocolate PB beer but not the best I have had. Definitely worth a shot if your into this kind of beer, just don’t expect the something mind blowing.

Bottle. I was scared. Looks like a porter. Aroma and flavour are the same: peanut butter cup ice cream. But it is still a porter. Interesting, but one is enough. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours black. Aroma has a ton of chocolate and peanut butter. Taste is a milder form of the aroma.

Smells of chocolate and artificial peanut butter. Taste is super sweet with more artificial tasting peanut butter and milk chocolate. A gimmicky beer I won't try again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle 8/1/16 (Kroger Bridge Street Dublin, Ohio)-46° in English Pint-Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, peanut butter, and malt. Taste of the same with more chocolate and peanut butter. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and down right tasty. Nice brew.

Dark brown, thick pour. Smells and taste as damn near close as you can get to a liquid reese’s cup. It’s a filler with a good finish. Not really possible to drink more than one of these suckers at a time

Pours black with a tan head and an aroma of chocolate and, yes, peanut butter. Tastes of cocoa, wood and malt with a very very mild finish.

12 ounce bottle, unfortunately the date stamp on the bottle is smudged so I have no idea what it says. This bottle was a gift from a friend of mine and I’m sure he gave me this at least a couple months ago. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention is decent, and there isn’t much lacing at all. I like the aroma, the brew smells like peanut butter, chocolate and roasted malt. Really, it smells like a Reese’s Cup. I think the taste is just like the aroma, it mostly tastes like a Reese’s Cup and some roasted malt. It’s sweet with a decent amount of bitterness. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s smooth, easy to drink and has a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good brew, I know I’d like to try this again in the future.

Kolor: Brązowy, klarowny.
Piana: Drobnopęcherzykowa, kremowa, dość puszysta. Po kilku łykach opada do wąskiej otoczki. Na ściankach śladowe pozostałości. Umiarkowany czas pozostaje nad piwem.
Zapach: Aromat potężnie czekoladowy! Lody czekoladowe, cisteczka brownie, muffinki z cząstkami czekolady. Woń jest tak przenikliwa, że zakrawa chwilami o nienaturalność. Tutaj na myśl od razu przychodzi mi piwo Noa Pecan Mud Cake Double Barrel z Omnipollo. W oddali orzeszki ziemne i szczypta wanilii. Cudo! Aromat 10/10!!!
Słodycz czekoladową łagodzi i kontruje delikatna słona nuta orzeszków ziemnych. Dalikatna paloność ciemnych słodów, minimalna kawa i odrobina wanilii. Początek słodszy, ale finisz już półwytrawny. Goryczka średnia, bardzo przyjemna. Pełne ciało. Słone poszczypywanie w język. Przepyszne piwo!
Wysycenie: Niskie.
Podsumownie:
Doskonale teraz rozumiem nazwę tego piwa. Zaraz po pierwszym łyku miałem ochotę krzyknąć: "Sweet Baby Jesus!". Perfekcyjny porter w każdym calu. Browar DuClaw Brewing Co. z Boltimore w stanie Maryland skradł moje serce tym porterem. Aromat zmiażdżył intensywnością czekolady i masła orzechowego moje nozdrza. Pełne ciało, doskonała pijalność i niezapomnianie wrażenia. Na długo pozostanie mi to piwo w pamięci. Wyjątkowe piwo na szczególną okazję.
