COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sweet Baby Jesus Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is a complex, robust porter. It is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by strong notes of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.5% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry and roasty with notes of chocolate, espresso and peanut butter so tasty, you’ll have no choice but to exclaim the name!

Served on-tap at Al’s of Hampden. A - Pours dark brown with a small off white head leaving spotty trails of thin lace down the top part of the glass. S - Smells of fresh toasted peanuts, bakers chocolate and the dark roasted grain. The nuts are strong, combining with the chocolate to make this ones nose exactly as advertised. T - Tastes just like it smells, maybe with a bit less nuts, making it a bit more balanced. Some light hop bitterness comes through as it warms up. Finish is roasty, lingering on the palate for quite awhile after consumption. M - Heavy body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, roasty feel. Finish is roasty, lingering for quite awhile. O- Overall a pretty good chocolate PB beer but not the best I have had. Definitely worth a shot if your into this kind of beer, just don’t expect the something mind blowing.

Pours opaque sable with a thin buff head. Aroma has strong roast malt and coffee notes. Flavor teases with coffee, caramel and subtle molasses notes. Texture is on the thin side, tho, and not fizzy. Still, a sweet brew.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, big chocolate, dark fruit, hints of coffee into big peanut, sweet vanilla notes. Taste is a mix of big peanuts, nuts, vanilla, honey, hints of dark chocolate, some coffee, finishing very sweet. Pretty tasty if you are into this type of beer.

2014-08-15. Very dark brown-black body with a nice tan head. 3++ Aroma is dry and cocoa like, cocoa crispies or other chocolate cereal. Flavour is pretty interesting , the cocoa cereal impression dominates for the most part. Average plus bodied palate, modest carbonation. Pretty nice, it pairs well with the chocolate chip muffin. Intriguingly I didn’t identify much peanut butter. On tap at Campground Brewdown

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured brown (cola like) with a minimal beige head. Aroma is mostly peanut butter some chocolate in there too and some malts notes. Taste is consistent, sweet, malty with loads of peanut butter and some chocolate. Nice beer, tasty and quite interesting.

this is a pretty good brew in terms of flavor, body and beerocity. but i lift a lot of weights and i am a natures wonder goo fan (as well as coffee and beer) and anyone who knows will tell you the peanut flavor seems off and artificial. sorry gotta recognize that. and the name could be different even though i was expelled from catholic school! hell i wasn’t excommunicated!

Full disclosure, I’m a peanut butter freak, so be aware of that when reading this review. Bottled on 07/02/14. Pours dark black with minimal tan head. Aroma is big big chocolate and peanut butter aroma. I know everyone says peanut butter cup, but damn it is. Taste is lots of peanuts, and chocolate. I’m not upset on that one. A little too effervescent for my taste, though. I would have liked a bit of a creamier texture. I think that’s the only place this beer fails in my book. But if you love peanut butter this is a must try.

Almost black in color & topped by creamy tan head. Dark chocolate, peanut butter aromas and flavors. Tastes like a liquid peanut butter cup.

From 12oz bottle. Pours brown with a touch of off white head. Aroma of peanuts. Peanuts and chocolate/malt come through in taste. Not bad but not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle shared at Natifest by Shigadeyo. Pours a brown color with a beige head of foam. The aroma is roasty and pea nutty. Dry roasted peanuts are coming through strong. I get some jelly as well. The taste is sweet and peanut buttery. Some pretzel as well. Medium body and moderate carbonation.
