3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Served on-tap at Al’s of Hampden.
A - Pours dark brown with a small off white head leaving spotty trails of thin lace down the top part of the glass.
S - Smells of fresh toasted peanuts, bakers chocolate and the dark roasted grain. The nuts are strong, combining with the chocolate to make this ones nose exactly as advertised.
T - Tastes just like it smells, maybe with a bit less nuts, making it a bit more balanced. Some light hop bitterness comes through as it warms up. Finish is roasty, lingering on the palate for quite awhile after consumption.
M - Heavy body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, roasty feel. Finish is roasty, lingering for quite awhile.
O- Overall a pretty good chocolate PB beer but not the best I have had. Definitely worth a shot if your into this kind of beer, just don’t expect the something mind blowing.

Pours a lovely mahogany with a tan head. Has a very robust smell of peanut butter and chocolate. You immediately taste the peanut butter but then after you taste dark chocolate. Leaves a clean after taste.

Very very very peanut buttery.
Hints of chocolate and coffee.
I really don’t care that the flavors are artificial they taste great to me.
This is a fun beer to have a couple of.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours out almost black with a thin off tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, roasty peanut butter, light coffee and some toasty malts. Taste is complex and a solid blend of the flavors with nothing taking too much of a center stage. Roasty peanut butter, chocolate, toast, mild coffee, some lingering sweet nuttiness. Nice mouth feel. Solid, tasty and we’ll done.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Peanuts Here! Feels like I should be at a ball game. All I get is peanuts. The aroma is peanuts, nice but a little overwhelming. Same for the flavor. I love beer and peanuts but the Reeces sweetness doesn’t work for me.

Both bottle and draft... Dark brown ale with crimson highlights and a small, creamy, off-white head. Decent retention. The aroma is supposed to deliver chocolate and peanut butter, but I’m pulling more of a Crème Brulee feature from the glass. However, the power of suggestion eventually kicks in and I discover notes of roasted peanuts, brownie and toasted almonds. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. The flavor is a blend of roasted malts, vanilla and nuttiness. The flavor tilts a touch toward the burnt and bitter side, but is well-balanced overall. Finishes lightly astringent and dry. Bottled version courtesy of darkguardian!

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Oily black body with minimal tan head. Strong peanut butter, light chocolate aroma. PB flavor comes through heavy with subtle notes of malt, espresso, and chocolate. Not as sweet as you may expect.

I will say, it’s a must try, but nothing I would go out of my way to have too often.
Insteresting taste at first, but a weird after taste. Better a little bit warmer

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2013 I just had to try this one. Had a sample pour from taphouse in Norfolk. Then it graduated to a pint. Aroma reminds me of chocolate nutella. The flavor is similar ,but in a beer sort of way...

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This pours jet black with a wispy tan head that leaves ring lacing. The nose is of huge peanut butter notes... awesome. Flavors have true peanut butter, roasted peanuts, toasted legumes, and a nutty caramel malt that finish with toasted nut skins... and MORE peanut butter! A silky, velvety palate ensues upon soft carbonation, a medium-full body and complex, substantive mouthfeel for a seriously satisfying peanut butter brew.
