COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sweet Baby Jesus Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is a complex, robust porter. It is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by strong notes of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.5% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry and roasty with notes of chocolate, espresso and peanut butter so tasty, you’ll have no choice but to exclaim the name!

Pours dark brown with some light brown head. The aroma is...surprise peanut butter and chocolate although not nearly as strong as I expected from reading many reviews. The taste is similar but if you are expecting it to taste like a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup you will be disappointed, There is hint of peanut initially but that gives way to some bitterness. The body is on the thin side. I think this beer is way overrated.

12oz bottle. Dark brown with beige head. Smells like peanut butter and slight chocolate. The taste is the perfect amount of peanut butter and bitter chocolate. A really nice beer.

On draft at random hotel beach bar in VA Beach. After my first two beers not impressing, I was rather reluctant to even try this, especially as I am usually highly unimpressed by efforts to put nuts in beer. Glad I was utterly wrong. Poured black, slight head. Aroma was roasted peanuts and chocolate. Flavor was a match, rather strongly of well roasted peanuts with a bit of chocolate sweetness to balance things out. Really quite good. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

12oz bottle courtesy of Lauren and John (thanks!). Brown - black pour with thin light tan head. Aroma of peanut and chocolate. Tastes are coffee, cocoa, peanut butter, sweet malt. Bittersweet finish. Nice desert brew that’s actually drinkable.

12 oz bottle. Loads of peanuts in the nose. Plenty of peanuts in the flavor too but enough dark roasted grain to have a clear presence. Trace of char on the aftertaste. Slight astringency in the medium-high body. O: not quite as balanced and refined as the Terrapin Liquid Bliss I had soon after.

Good winter beer. Nice flavor profile. Pretty smooth. Creamy finish. It's not bitter, good choice if your looking for something that tastes like the name. There are no hints of peanut butter. It tastes like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Where and how: bottle 355 ml
Aroma pleasant, mild easy going aroma. Soft with accents of peanut and dark malts. Not too sweet as one might worry.
Appearance :
Top: lighter lasting creamy top.
Base: dark brown bottom.
Palate : mid bodied, mild.
Taste: as in aroma. Mild, easy going and approachable. Nice mix of dark malts with peanut butter. Good balance.
Other notes quiet drinkable dark brew.

Bottle. Pour is a deep brown with a thin tan head and thick aromas of chocolate, nuts and earthiness. Flavor is a lovely mix of the above with a peanut edge to it that smooths things out and makes them fit together nicely. Lovely beer.

Pours a deep, rich brown with a medium head. Nutty taste, with a hint of smokiness. Delicious and complex.
