COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sweet Baby Jesus Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is a complex, robust porter. It is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by strong notes of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.5% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry and roasty with notes of chocolate, espresso and peanut butter so tasty, you’ll have no choice but to exclaim the name!

THOUGHTS: Not bad but a little artificial. Slightly watered down, too. Definitely interesting and worth a try. Fun but not spectacular. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a medium to dark brown that looked nearly black in the glass with bright red highlights and an average, off-white head that mostly diminished but left excellent lacing. The aroma had heavy milk chocolate and chocolate milk; moderate coffee; cherry; grape jelly; slightly face peanut butter aroma. The initial flavor was sweet; while the finish was moderately sweet, slightly acidic and bitter, and ever so slightly sour with an average duration. There was chocolate, coffee, peanut butter, cherry, and roasted malt, but it all seemed slightly artificial and slightly water. The medium body was sort of creamy with fizzy carbonation and a lightly astringent finish.

Trade from bigda83. Twelve ounce bottle. Pours dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma of peanut butter and chocolate. Tastes like a liquid Reece's cup. Unique and interesting. Thumbs up.

This beet spells of a complex blend of peanut butter and coffee. Color is peat black with a thin tan creamy head at the top of the beer. It has a sweet flavor and a deliciously chocolate finish. It almost tastes and smells like a Reeses Peanut Butter cup. Sweet Baby Jesus is a delicious porter that is worth the try!

12 oz. bottle purchased at The Bottle Shop for $3.00. Dark brown color with spotty lacing and head. Aroma is chocolate malts, cream and caramelized toffee.

Mouthfeel has a nice mouthfeel showing a moderate creaminess. Flavor has a nicer peanut flavor then the Liquid Bliss I sampled right before hand. The chocolate and peanuts are balanced really well. I enjoyed the creamy feel in the mouth. Lingering chocolate after taste. Nice.

Dark black, light edges. Not pitch black. the 2 finger head fades to a 1 finger brown head with some tight lacing and it sticks around for a while (over 10 minutes). nice resilient head. The smells fantastic. Sweet chocolate, marshmallow and walnuts with nice peanut butter taste. a faint oak and raisin on the nose as well. Very creamy mouthfeel. sweet chocolate. I like the mild bitterness, maybe would be nice if it was slightly sweeter. nutty finish. peanut butter is very integrated.

Pours dark brown and thick. Nice creamy looking head. Aroma is heavy on espresso and chocolaty peanut buttery. Taste is sweet, almost cloying at first. There is a definite oily nut flavor accompanied by dark fruity undertones with a very smoky finish. Hoped for a fuller mouth feel from the appearance, although it is very smooth and easy to drink. Overall it is very close to delicious, but not quite there. Sidenote: my wife loves this.

Pours a dark brown color with a tan head and good retention. The aroma is peanut butter and toffee. The taste is similar with lots of peanuts, peanut butter, and toffee all in a base that features chocolate and a hint of hazelnuts. Not too sweet and nearly perfectly balanced. Over all one of the best!!

Appearance: Dark brown with dark tan head.
Aroma: Strong peanut butter with dark chocolate.
Taste: More peanut butter and chocolate, with slight bitterness and burnt. Gimmicky...

Pours black in the glass. Awesome aroma of Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. Creamy on the palate. Nutty peanut flavor, mixed with coffee and cocoa. Overall, a solid brew!
