0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
On tap at the brewpub.
Deep brown brew with some tan head. They did a great job infusing peanut butter aroma and flavor into a dry, chocolaty porter. Nose of chocolate and fresh peanut butter with some roasted malt. Body is a bit thin.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Solid porter. Dark Amber brown pour. Pb, chocolate, some creaminess, but a weird long lasting bitterness that didn't quite jive. Still pretty good for a sweet after dinner type beer.

Smells better than it tastes. Has an underlying bitterness, especially on the finish, that really undermines a great setup. Gives it a biting acrid note like Reese’s (cheap) peanut butter, unfortunately. Might make an awesome adult vanilla float though.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12 oz bottle into a tulip glass.
Appearance: The body is a very dark amber brown color topped off with a small soapy tan head. It’s head quickly settles down to a ring of foam at the edge of the glass with a wispy thin film in the center. Lacing is minimal.
Smell: It’s big nutty notes hit me right as I opened the bottle. In the glass I get loads of sweet peanut butter and cocoa powder like notes.
Taste / Palate: The flavor tastes just like a peanut butter sandwich covered in cocoa powder. Its sweet overall but not overly so. The feel is smooth and softly carbonated.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Dark brown with reddish tint, large spongy beige head, chocolate-peanut butter aroma, medium carbonation, slightly bitter mocha taste with peanuts flavor, longish bitter finish. Quite an interesting mix of tastes and flavors.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black color with beige foam head. The smell has chocolate, peanut butter and sugar marshmallows. The taste continues what the smell has started. Very agreeable aftertaste, but a bit too sugary.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Purchased a 6-pack in Baltimore on my trip to see Maryland Deathfest. Pours a dark copper colour with a frothy beige head, good retention and decent foamy lacing. The peanut butter part is really in the smell, with hints of chocolate and dark fruits in the background. The nuttiness is a little milder in the taste with the dark fruit of the porter smoothly sailing. The chocolate malt lingers. Did not feel much of the nuts in the first few bottles, but this last one brought home really is present. I now have much respect for this brew. Congrats !

12 ounce bottle from Timfoolery, lots of peanut butter aroma and flavor, lacks the sweetness necessary to carry the flavor.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle shared with Tmoney99. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma has big peanut butter and dark chocolate very much like a candy bar though not as sweet. The flavor has more peanut butter and chocolate with an odd finish, not chemical, but on the artificial side. I still like it, but the nose is definitely better.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
BOD 2/6/15. Pours nearly pitch black. World class head volume, outstanding lacing and retention.
Rich powerful nose of peanuts and dark chocolate over a subtle malt sweetness coupled with roast and hints of coffee.
Light medium body, barely, with a smooth texture. Normal carbonation with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a reasonable amount in the finish.
Unfortunately, the flavor profile doesn’t equal the world class aroma. It is intense, complex and well balanced. It begins with a fresh peanut, or peanut butter, aspect that slowly yields to the bitter dark chocolate and roast underneath. As the middle approaches, a mild bitterness settles in over a balancing caramel sweetness complete with milk chocolate notes. As the finish approaches, coffee is evident, and slightly astringent, along with a more noticeable nutty aspect that seems a bit stale - or artificial. The finish includes a bitter dark chocolate fadeout.
