3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I drank a growler of this last night while eating wings and watching football. Bliss.
The beer appears a orange/amber hue. It is, for the most part, transparent, though not 100% clear. Each pour yields a substantial head that leaves a film of caked-on lacing stuck to the glass. The scent is relatively weak, emitting a balance of hop and malt aromas. The beer tastes decent. Itís nothing amazing, but nothing offensive either. I mean, I did drink the whole growler by myself - it is certainly drinkable and enjoyable, though not remarkable, beer. The feel is remarkably smooth, making this beer quite quaffable. I really enjoy pairing a simple pale ale with wings or other variants of bar food. I have had this beer several times. Itís local, fresh and consistent. Enjoy a beer at DuClaw if youíre in the area.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I had this beer in a large tall glass in an airport bar. The beer had a mostly clear amber-rust color with a large, light tan, foamy head that had good retention and lacing, and great cling. The aroma featured a light citrus hops with some pine, plenty of earthy and grainy hops, and a touch of caramel malt. Its taste was slightly bitter and grainy with some lightly sweet caramel malt flavors as well. The body was creamy and had average carbonation and life, and was a touch dry, with a full mouthfeel.

Clear amber copper with a foamy white head. Fruity, light citrus, a rustic earthy quality. Toasted malt, light fruity citrus flavor. Medium bodied. OK.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This poured a light oranage color with a white head. Aroma was if light citrus, and herbal nots, with some salt and light grain too. Flavor was fairly bitter but not much hop flavor, somewhat bland and uninviting with a malt finish. Meh

2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Hazy dark orange/nearly amber pour with a massive white head, good retention/some lace. Aroma of citrus/tangerine hops, caramel/biscuit malt. Taste is sharply, sharply overcarbonated, bitter citrus hops. Palate is bitter and overcarbonated. Not drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Appearance: slightl cloudy orange amber color with HUGE lingering frothy white head. Aroma: tangerine citrus and slight caramel malt coming thru and some orange peel. Taste: grapefruit and orange citrusy hops throughout with some caramel sweetness and a little doughiness coming thru in the middle lingering thru the end with a little bitterness. Mouthfeel: thin to medium pretty high carbonation. Overall: decently balanced and pretty tasty for the style. Very refreshing for a hop lover on a hot summer day but would gravitate more toward Sierra. Carbonation, affecting appearance and mouthfeel, is a little drawback for me.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Was really excited for the citrus flavor described on the label but disappointed in getting more of a piney taste. Biggest complaint is there is little to no head retention. I donít notice citrus-like aromas, more of a piney aroma as well.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle. One of my fav local brews next to Serum. The pour is a medium amber color with a small finger of white head. Aroma of some citrus, caramel and other sweet fruitiness. Mouth is a nice splash of hoppy citrus up front like an IPA, thats balanced with some maltiness and a slight caramel finish. Kind of having an identity crisis between Pale Ale and IPA, much like Lagunitaís Pale Ale.

Bottle. Pours a bright copper color with a bright white foamy head. Nose is floral hops, lots of ripe fruits like apricots. Palate is medium with a light earthy feel, light bitter on the finish with a dirty tongue. Flavors of dirty pale malts, earthy hops, light fruitiness.
