Aroma of hay, caramel, and yeast. Lots of caramel wit hay. The amount of hay is non-ideal. Very flavorful. The aftertaste has lots of interesting yeast flavors that save this brew in my opinion.

Medium statured offwhite head, good retention and fair lacing. Lightly hazy amber hued color. Nose is yeasty first, fruity with a light graininess, doughy. Body is lightly medium, gentle carbonation, slick on the palate. Tastes of bready malts, lightly sweet, spicey yeast notes, gently fruity and grainy. Fairly dry finish, lasts. An easy quaffer that went well with my lunch. Draught @ Belair pub. Served in a shaker.

20101214 tap at Bel Air. Ive had this a bunch just never got around to inputting notes. Motor oil amber with sturdy beige head. Aroma is toasty malts, crusty dark bread, pretty yeasty with a figgy fruit nite and some candied fruitcake fruits. Nice beer, plenty sessionable and mild. Not sweet at all and with a soft, lingering savory spice, tho maybe a bit husky in the end. Id like to see this beer with a bit more hop presence, goldings or something earthy like that.

Flavor is heavy malt (bread, cookie, straw), light hops (floral, earthy), and average esters (fruity) with notes of ginger and lavender. Medium body and creaminess, low warmth, high carbonation and a medium sweet finish.

Pours a reddish brown color with an off white head. Smells of rye and other such things. Taste is yummy with some spices and hops. Bit of bitterness.
