4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Very solid Red Ale. Gold medal winner at Brewers Ball. I could easily see this being an every day drinker. Medium body, nice malt complexity and smooth mouthfeel. Keg ran out a little too soon or I would have had more.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at the Coffee District in Delray Beach, FL. Pint glass. Pours a deep reddish amber with a one finger white head. head lasted and sporadic lacing. Aroma was nuts, leather, malts, bread and cereal. The taste was a blend of the breads, nuts, malts and cereals. Very smooth and creamy. Easy to drink, finish was hearty. I really loved this red from Due South. They have been cranking out some gems recently.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap. Light to moderate grain for the malt, light herbs for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with hints of faint spice and paper. Head is average size, frothy/creamy, light beige with excellent lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky medium dark red/brown. Flavor starts slightly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes slightly acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is medium, slick with a lively carbonation. I’m not usually thrilled about Amber Ales, but this one was a good one.
