RBWG 2013. Hazy orange pour with a small khaki head. Hoppy aroma and flavor with orange, citrus, and floral aspects, with some caramel and pale malt backing. A touch towards the balanced (malty) side. Not bad.

Growler at Cajun Cafe Fall Fest 2012, and again at RBWG. Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is some light malt and a big piney and citrusy, white grapefruity hop assault. Flavor is a hop blitzkrieg with a citrus hop barrage with white grapefruit, citrus pith, and lingering bitterness all over. Interesting IIPA with a plethora of bitterness lingering into the finish.

Bottle shared at rbwg. Hazy orange with a sudsy white head. Nose is sweet and grainy at first, some light pine and citrus coming through. Bittersweet, light butterscotch finish.

22 ounce bomber shared at RBWG, poured a cloudy amberish orange color with aromas of hops, light caramel malt, and some citrus. Flavors are the same, a nice blend of hops and malts. Thanks for sending me the bottle hopscotch, I know a lot people got to try this at RBWG.

Rbwg thanks adam ! Light hazy orange white head. Aroma of hops orange and flowers. Good well balanced citrus and grass hops. I’ll drink more of this.

Bomber to taster at the RBWG (thanks burg326). Looks good; a hazy orange with thin off-white lacing. Smells and tastes solid; hoppy and malty with an average mouthfeel. Solid.

glennmastrange (1884) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JAN 8, 2013
Tap. Moderate roasted and caramel for the malt, moderate to heavy grapefruit peel for the hops, light soapy yeast, with hints of sulfur and dried fruit. Head is small, frothy, white with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear medium amber/orange. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and heavily to harshly bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a soft carbonation and a moderately astringent finish. Nice DIPA aromas, sharp in flavor, this is a big beer I could keep going back to.

hopscotch (8212) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 29, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2012 Draft... This beer rocks!… Pours clear and orange with a mid-sized, fluffy, white head. Good retention. The aroma offers toffee, tree nuts, peach, grass, leather and a hint of pine. Full-bodied with tickling carbonation. The flavor presents fruity, biscuity malts engulfed by heavy floral and pine bitterness. Lengthy, bitter, acrid finish. Based on Mike’s rating (immediately preceding mine), it doesn’t look like the bottles are holding up very well. A shame, but it’s their first bottling effort and hopefully Mike will make it down here to drink some brews on tap with me one of these days. Anyway, this is a world class brew in my book!
