Thanks to the Tampa Crew for sharing this one. Pours a stout brown with a small tan head. Nose is cocoa, chocolate, cough syrup, chocolate syrup, and some bitterness. Flavor is similar with chocolate, chocolate syrup, cocoa, and roast. Light to medium in body and lingering roasty and sweet chocolate into the finish.

Draft - pour dark black and somewhat thin. Smells of bitter chocolate in the nose. The taste is really bitter, dark chocolate, and chalky. I could barely get through 4oz.

Gold Medal winner in Imp Stout category at Best Beer in Florida comp. Nice and clean with a chocolate nose and finish. No alcohol is interesting considering 9.8% ABV. My favorite Imp Stout by far.

Tap. Moderate toasted grain and dark chocolate for the malt, light herbs for the hops, mode dough for the yeast, with hints of cola and milk. Head is large, frothy/creamy, tan with excellent lacing and good legs, and is mostly diminishing. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts moderately to heavily sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium to full, creamy with a soft carbonation. Definitely the sweetest Imperial Stout I’ve had. Nice texture too.

Bottle. Nice aroma of milk chocolate, with nice vanilla sensation as well. Full, smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Nice smooth finish. Very solid.

Draft at the brewery. Nose of dark chocolate, really dark chocolate. Medium brown head, black in color. Super dark chocolate flavor with a touch of booziness and a little alcohol warming. full mouthfeel and thick. pretty tasty, but I like stouts like this.

Un gros stout brun. Une mousse qui est mince. Un nez passablement simple mais bien agréable de caramel et de chocolat très amer. Des saveurs qui exploitent les filons du cacao pur et de la mélasse. Des houblons cachés derrière l’expression maltée. Une bouche de moyenne densité. Un pétillement bas. Une texture qui peut paraître crémeuse. À bien y penser, je crois qu’elle est plutôt huileuse. Une finale amère sur des notes de chocolat noir. L’alcool demeure bien caché. Je suis étonné de voir à l’instant sur le tableau qu’elle tire 9.8%. Un impérial bien fait qui manque néanmoins de complexité. Ceci dit, pour ce qu’il veut proposer, un assez bon stout.

On tap at the release. Dark brown pour with a light brown head. Enticing chocolate and caramel aromas. Big hop presence with bitter notes up front. Undercurrents of cacao and dark roasted malts. A bit too hoppy for me, but with potential.
