2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
This imperial stout pours a deep black color. Small to medium sized beige foamy head. Aroma is roasty malt and a touch of chocolate. Medium bodied Imperial Stout. Roasty malts, some chocolate a touch of fruit, but mostly roasty malts. Kind of one-dimensional and a touch thin tasting, but nothing objectionable. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
There really wasn’t anything horribly bad or incredibly good with this one. Aroma was metallic, light coffee, roasted malts with little to no complexity. Appearance was spot on. Mouthfeel was medium to full bodied. Flavor was one dimensional with just a strong roasted malt flavor. Nothing bad, but nothing I can’t find anywhere else around these parts either.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black, unclear, brown head. Rich flavour with coffee, roasted malts, notes of licorice, tar (even rope...). Complex aroma dominated by coffee, some chocolate and then tar, roasted malts, smoke and licorice. Some underlying malty sweetness. Very impressive (but too expensive to regular abuse...).

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks to Papsoe: Pours an opaque black with dark brown edges and a nicely lacing dark tan head. Aroma of sweet doughy caramel with some dark chocolate malty notes. Body starts with decent viscosity and nice smooth caramel chocolate flavor toward a well-balanced, smooth finish. A very drinkable and flavorfull "semi-imperial" stout.

Thanks to Papsoe for sending this to me. Lots of roasted malt in the aroma. Black with a tan head. Medium to full palate. Lots of roasted malt up front with some light chocolate and a lightly bitter aftertaste.
