Ungstrup (11136), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 10, 2006 A pitch black beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with a light roasted note. The flavor is very sweet - a bit too sweet for me, with an OK roasted character. omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 16, 2007 Bottled. Pitch black with pale brown head. Aroma of coffee with cream. Fairly sweet with dense mouthfeel. Roasty with licorice, chocolate and tobacco, a bit syrupy. Salty finish. Flavours does not really melt together. Feels like a beer diluted from a thick concentrate. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 24, 2006 Updated: Apr 26, 2007(Bottle 33 cl) Pours completely black and opaque with a good, retentive, light brown and lacing head. Aroma is full of hard roasted malt and coffee. The body is full with lots of sweetish, roasted malt, chocolate and dried fruit. The lightly burned malts also leave some bitterness. A very accessible and pleasant Impy. Extremely balanced, but never extreme.... 260407

(On tap) Completely black and opaque with a creamy, light brown head. Nose of roasted malt. Good, solid body with lots of sweetish, hard roasted malt. Unfortunately a vaguely fusty edge. Light bitter finish. I believe this could be a great beer in a cleaner version. 6/4/5/3/11=2.9 200506 yespr (6385), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 1, 2007 33 cL bottle.
