Bottle. It pours an almost black body, topped by a small, beige head. It’s meaty, alcoholic and slightly roasted on the nose, and the sweet flavor has the same meaty, roasted maltyness. And the same alcohol giving a certain warmth on the palate. Considering its 11 % ABV it’s a slightly thin beer, but far from the way of the pale lagers. Overall, a nice beer but not a world class beer. 110311

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a fast-disappearing brown head. Tart, barbecue aroma. Flavour is sweetish and tart with smoked malt. Feels a bit watery and metallic. Finish is sweet with a tart coffee note. Nice. 10.03.11.
