COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

From tap. Pours black with a fully gone head. Annis seed spiced and hard roasted malt aroma. Sweet flavoured with a solid alcohol presence and dense spiced annis seed note. Warming alcohol finish and with a dense spiced annis seed finish. Too brutal.

European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Sweet ,spicy, peppery hops. Warming spicy alcohol finish. I did not enjoy thios as much as the Knark III, but I think this may improve with age.

On tap @ European Beerfistival. Pours black with a beige head. Sweet and quite fruity. Dark dried fruits. Alcohol dryness. Soft carbonation. Medium to full bodied. Sweet and dry finish with an alcohol warming sensation. Good but I still prefer III.

Sampled at EBF2008. Pours a pitch black beer, with a lightbrown head. Has a nice big head. The aroma is sweet with fruites and blackberries. This also gives the flavor together with coffee and sweet malts. The flavor stays in the aftertaste and leaves a good complex balance. Overall a very nice Russian Imperial Stout.
