COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottled. Black with a brown shine under a brown head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, coffee, and fruit. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of roasted malt hitting the toungue first, then comes notes of fruit and coffee, before the alcohol sets in warming the palate and burning the throat.

Papsoe (22983) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 13, 2008
(On tap) Pours completely opaque black with a light brown head. Distinctly sweetish aroma of roasted malt - but not really burned at all. Lots of alcohol though. Quite full-bodied with plenty of sweet malts and dried fruit - quite pruny - but again not really burned malt at all. Sweetish alcoholic finish. A very friendly and smooth Imperial Stout. 130908

From tap. Pours black with a fully gone head. Annis seed spiced and hard roasted malt aroma. Sweet flavoured with a solid alcohol presence and dense spiced annis seed note. Warming alcohol finish and with a dense spiced annis seed finish. Too brutal.

oh6gdx (16047) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUL 6, 2009
Bottled. Rubyish black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is caramel, sugary sweetness as well as liquorice and alcohol. Flavour is quite much the same, but the alcohol is actually fitting in the flavour quite well. Drinkable and quite pleasant.

omhper (15964) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 7, 2009
Bottled at PBF. Nearly black, minimal head. Aroma of slivovic, licorice and tobacco. Sweet and fruity, heavily alcoholic with brandy and salty licorice. Not at all as thick and inky as many 14% stouts. Instead if massive roastiness and syrup there’s just slick malt and brandy-like alcohol.
