COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle shared at daknole’s -- thanks! Pours a coffee color with a ruby tine. Mild aroma with a hint of sweetness. Brimming with alcohol, smoke, black cherries, sweet malts, ash, and juicy plums in the flavor. Great stuff.

50 cl bottle. Rated on 30.03.2010
Pitch black colour. Aroma has vegetables typical to Danish ales and some licorice. Flavour has burning alcohol, some licorice and salmiac. Decent, but I expected much more from a 14% imperial stout. This one gave me a headache for the next day.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a beige/brown head. Aroma is sweetish with chocolate and notes of oxidisation (madeira) and dark fruits. Intense. Flavour is sugary sweet with dark fruit notes. Finish is sugary sweet as well, with slight smoked/cigarette notes lingering. Soft, creamy palate. Overall maybe a bit too sweet, but it still works. 17.03.11.

Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and alcohol. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet finish with burning alcohol. Too much alcohol and not enough bitterness to balance the sweetness. 021010

2008 bottle from dakine on 6/6/2010. fairly dark pour.... not thick just dark with nearly no head to speak of. it smells super sweet, roasty and smoky with lesser notes of bubblegum and raisin-like fruitiness. alcohol leaps out to numb my sinus. the flavor is full of ashiness which amplifies as this thing warms up. otherwise the flavor is the same as the aroma with an odd bitterness on the finish and a lingering smoky molasses taste. this is probably the single sweetest IS i have ever tasted... ick. combine that with a sticky mouth feel and very low carbonation and i can’t finish the sample... 7/3/5/2/13/3.0

Bottle, 2010-07-20, Göteborg AR: carmell, coffey and chocolate AP: pitch black, 4 cm dark brown heavy & steady head (fine curtians appears after some minutes) F: deep and filling chocloate flavour, very warming - must bee the 14% that are speaking. This one could have been stored for a very long time!

Bottle. A reddish, very dark brown beer topped by a small, tan head. Alcohol, some licorice and roasted, coffee-like aroma. Too much in a way, but also quite nice. Some meaty scents too. The flavor has a touch of acetone, but is mostly roasted, with chocolate and cooffee. Full-bodied and warming, finishing with a lasting but not intense alcohol burn and burnt malts. Some sugary sweetness too. Overall, definately not bad, but too alcohol focused and a bit out of shape it seems. 100326
