COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
En kraftig "Imperial Porter" med kaffetoner och eftersmak av saltlakrits. Inte lika dumdristig som storebror ”Idjit!” men har inga problem med att stå på egna ben!
English Language Label: From the one and only Dugges Ale & Porterbryggeri in Gothenburg, Sweden, an original, robust "Imperial Porter" with notes of coffee and salty liqorice.

Chocolate, licorice, coffee. Best Porter in Sweden and maybe one of the world’s best!

Capa (1615) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Very thick, dark brown with minimal head. Sweet, chocolatey malts, cake, dark sugar, light roasted malt, molasses in the aroma. Full, silky smooth body. Flavor is full of chocolate malt, light roasted malt, cocoa powder, molasses, light bourbon. Flavor didn’t quite match the aroma but a very nice beer. The reigned in roasted malts were a nice touch.

DuffMan (4414) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 6, 2012
Bottle, shared with Parksy. Hazy medium brown with a low tan head. Aroma is pleasantly malty, with prominent dark fruits and background notes of coffee. The flavours don’t quite live up to the nose, with more of a brothy quality and less figgy fruit. A little thin, with a short slightly salty finish. Not terrible, but I guess I was hoping for more complexity.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a very nice coffee and dark chocolate malt. Flavor is a little weaker. Some dark malts, a little anise and seaweed. Much like the other beer I’ve had from this brewer, the aroma is great the flavor is so-so. Kinda watery in the end but does leave a nice roasted malt on the tounge.

Thin rapidly disappearing white head. Almost cloyingly sweet nose, molasses maybe aged rum. Heavy in the mouth with more molasses and roasty notes. A bit too sweet for my liking maybe part of the higher alcohol level. Loooooong finish of light coffee roast.

Bottle 500 ml
Aroma: hmm, rich aromatic rum like notes, rust, touch of smoke, toffee with vodka. 8-
Appearance: dark brown with tanned beige medium light top.4-
Body , Flavour , Palate and Final Notes: medium full bodied. Dark bitter character, plenty of licorice with smoky undertones. Bit heavy in character , licorice bitterness bit overpowering. Hint of rum finishing. Rather dry. Lacking balancing mal sugars.

ROGUE (1354) - Newark, Delaware, USA - MAR 6, 2012
500ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small beige head leaving little lacing. Smell is heavy roasted aromas, coffee, bitter chocolate and some vanilla. The taste is dominated by heavily roasted malt, coffee, roasted nuts, dark chocolate and toasted bread. Aftertaste is long and holds a nice dry bitterness. High carbonation and medium body.

Riktigt, riktigt god. Jag älskar eftersmaken av saltlaktris. Helt klart Dugges flaggskepp.
