4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Rciesla (5500) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - APR 4, 2011
Bottle. Pours a dark bruin body with mahogany ruby hues or more so just softer shades of brown where light can dissipate into its deep abyss. Seems to cascade if only for a second to leave behind a coffee bruin head that diminishes to softer lacing. Aromatically seems like it be a bit sweeter, molasses, licorice, and birch like notes. Brown sugar and lighter chocolate malt tones. Soft oily body with a sharp carbonation. Pretty bitter body actually picks up a lightly ink y licorice like tone with a very subtle sweetness that is quickly engulfed and dried out by the bittering licorice and chocolate. Just enough warmth to keep the body similar to the strength of the flavor. A very well done porter, i must say.

Huge chocolate and smokey nose. Wow! Malty, roasty, some sour cherry, and Balitc flavors. Coffe & underlying chocolate. medium body and very little head that dissipates immediately. A little more grain toward the end of the bottle. Very nice porter from Sweden. Tasted @ 60F.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 danielcurtis81 (1446) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 3, 2011
Served from a bottle ar the OTM Tasting Room. The appearance is a brown black that is slightly translucent. A smaller light tan head. The flavors and aromas are medium to dark roast malts, a kiss of chocolate, but there is a tobacco/smokiness that really dominated the flavors. The mouth is medium bodied with a heavy smoke feel. Overall a solid beer but the cigar flavor could become too much well worth the try though.
