COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
En kraftig "Imperial Porter" med kaffetoner och eftersmak av saltlakrits. Inte lika dumdristig som storebror ”Idjit!” men har inga problem med att stå på egna ben!
English Language Label: From the one and only Dugges Ale & Porterbryggeri in Gothenburg, Sweden, an original, robust "Imperial Porter" with notes of coffee and salty liqorice.

Bottle @ Armin’s place, courtesy of a chill Swedish bro. Thanks! Pours a fairly clear dark brown appearance with a brown head. Roasty malty, big anise, slight tar/char, vanilla, light coffee aroma. Creamy mouthfeel. Really roasty, burnt malty, anise, a touch smoky, light candy, a touch fruity, plum flavor. Fair amount of ash and char. Not bad.

0.33l bottle. A deep dark brown pour with a nice small kinda bubbly light brown top. Smells really nice with lots and lots of licorice. A bit of both coffee and dark grains, with a ethanol / paint thinner hint. It has a really thick and viscous mouthfeel with a soft prickling carbonation level. The licorice is also really present in the taste. Some cold coffee, a dry roastiness with some almost fudge like hints. Quite tasty, but there is also something I’m not finding fantastic here. Hard to explain really, but it’s a bit like bitter nuts and yeast. Still, have to say that I’m enjoying this dark licoricy thing. 28.06.2013

Bottle shared with McTapps. Very nice one which reminds me how fine a good porter is. Mixture of chocolate, sourness and few hints of sugar combined with loads of drinkability. Thumbs up !
