COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
En kraftig "Imperial Porter" med kaffetoner och eftersmak av saltlakrits. Inte lika dumdristig som storebror ”Idjit!” men har inga problem med att stå på egna ben!
English Language Label: From the one and only Dugges Ale & Porterbryggeri in Gothenburg, Sweden, an original, robust "Imperial Porter" with notes of coffee and salty liqorice.

Charcoal dominated nose, with dark roasted coffee and espresso accents. Clear mahogany, thin tan head with my usual pouring style. Hearty charcoal with a hint of smoked beef. Mulberries present. Soy sauce lingers on the palate well afterward. Soft carbonation, quite smooth. Medium bodied, alcohol extremely well concealed. Excellent example of the style. Well worth the premium price.

500ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a brown head. Heavily toasted aromas, malts, coffee beans, mint, chocolate, tar, quite spicy. Off-dry, full bodied, medium bitterness, CO2 a bit on the low side? Rich, quite robust taste, lots of toasted malts, chocolate, coffee, tar, ashes, faintly hoppy. Dry, ashy finish. I like the fact that it is quite rough and robust, reflects the style well. (2011-07-14)

Bottle 50 cl. A dark red brown colour with a small brown head. An aroma of roasted malt, coffe, chocolate and caramel. The taste is medium sweet with a dry finish. A full body and soft carbonation. A nice and smooth beer

Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Pours a clear and dark brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, coffee, roasted, licorice and notes of alcohol. The flavor follows the nose with additional fruit. The palate is dry and roasted with sweetness. Overall a good beer.

Half liter bottle pours mahogany with thin mocha head. The aroma is chocolate malts, thin coffee notes, some dark roasted malts and a touch of toffee. Nice. The taste is pretty smooth and sweet with some rich dark roasted coffee, chocolate malts, malt balls, a touch of coffee and then even more coffee like notes into the finish. Tasty indeed.

Bottle shared with friends. Pours an extremely dark brown with a light coffee brown head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has strong notes coffee with some dark chocolate and bitter roasted malts making for a bitter nose. Flavor is similar with roasted malts and coffee backed by dark chocolate for a very bitter imperial porter.

Bottle from Bruisin Ales. Oily. Black. Some liquorice. Bitter and dry porter that clings to tongue.
