Pours a fading tan head with a dark brown body. Aromas of roasted malt and anise. Flavors of roasted malts, molasses, and black licorice. Finish is lasting black licorice.

Thin bodied, strong and roasty but overwhelmingly bitter for a beer of this sort. Not bad, not good.

Pours oily opaque black with a barely present tan head. Chocolate and coffee dominate the aroma, with a slight hint of licorice beneath. Taste is complex: quite sweet with tons of coffee, very dark chocolate, and some bitterness in the finish. Very lightly carbonated, contributing to the oily feel. This is a surprisingly big, heavy porter for 7%.

Voluminös malziger Geruch mit deutlichen Kaffee- sowie Karamellnoten. Malzig-karamelliger Antrunk mit angedeuteter Säuerlichkeit. Voluminös malzig werdend, untertönig ist das Karamell ersichtlich das im Abgang deutlicher zum Tragen kommt. Die Säuerlichkeit weicht einer dezenten Bitterkeit. Komplex, deutlich röstig im Mittelteil, etwas herb. kräftig malzig, zudem etwas schokoladig.Im Abgang wird die Bitterkeit Hauptbestandteil und somit deutlich intensiver. Komplexes Porter! Tallahassee, Fl - Liquor Loft - 500 ml bottle. Dark, syrupy amber pour, no head at all. Bold aroma with cocoa, pipe tobacco, and cognac. Delectable, rich flavor with hints of molasses, potting soil, unsweetened chocolate, a hint of cognac, anise seed and some black coffee. Sticky, thick mouthfeel. Overall, excellent.

Tap @ CBF. Pours dark red, almost deep brown. Aroma has roast, liquorice, chili, chocolate and strong coffee. Very nice balance. Taste is very bitter and nicely roasted, quite chewy with lots of espresso bitterness, black coffee, earth and a dash of vegetables. Some dried fruits as well.

Clear very dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, dried fruit and dusty. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and bitter finish. 270511
