COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
En kraftig "Imperial Porter" med kaffetoner och eftersmak av saltlakrits. Inte lika dumdristig som storebror ”Idjit!” men har inga problem med att stå på egna ben!
English Language Label: From the one and only Dugges Ale & Porterbryggeri in Gothenburg, Sweden, an original, robust "Imperial Porter" with notes of coffee and salty liqorice.

Tasted @ CBF. Pours brown with no head. Aroma has lots of roasted malts, rye bread, burnt grain, burnt caramel, coffee, just plain porter niceness, really good balance in the aroma. Taste has lots of roast as well, caramel, rye bread, roasted sourness, burnt grain. Decent porter, though completely flat.

16.9oz bottle from grape & gourmet. pours a deep, cola brown with a short live, thin, beige head leaving light rings of lace. aroma is great with big, dark, roasted malts, fresh coffee grinds, and burnt chocolate with hints of toasted oats, trail mix, and earthy hops. flavor is damn tasty as well with heavy roast, charcoal, and slightly citric black coffee backed by bittersweet chocolate, herbal hops, and hints of dark fruit. palate is medium bodied and very easy drinking with a lingering, roasty finish. overall, a very nice imperial porter.

Beautiful black color. Smells of sweet liquorice, coffee and chocolate. Taste of salty liquorice and coffee. Loved it!

16.9 ounce bottle, best before November 2011. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with a half inch tan head that went away quickly. There’s a good amount of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and a bit of smoke. Taste is similar to the aroma, the brew tastes like roasted and burnt/charred malt, coffee, bittersweet chocolate and some licorice. There’s also a good roasty bitter finish. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium. The brew seems a bit thin, but it’s also a bit coating with moderate carbonation. It’s smooth and easy to drink. I think this is a good brew, I liked it.

Bottle from Phaleslu. Pours black/dark dark brown with a medium sized tan head that fades leaving a thin cap. Aroma of chocolate, nut, coffee, vanilla, some tart raisin, molasses, very mild citrus. Taste is sweet with a mild tart and a nice roasty bitter finish. Medium body, oily, slick texture, mild carbonation. Dry, lightly tart finish. Mild alcohol comes through.

Was really not a big fan of this one. Poured dark brown/black with a bit of tan head. Very strange aroma, some smoke, oil, licorice, roasted malt. Taste is somewhat bitter, bland, there’s also a bit of an off taste that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Finish is slick, dry. Maybe it was just a bad bottle, but I had trouble finishing this one.

Bottle shared with esp0r at Schouskjelleren. Finally A Dugges I like, I knew they could do it :) Color is dark brown, almost black, with an offwhite tiny head. Roasty aroma with chocolate, coffee and licorice. Sweet and dry malty taste of coffee and fruit. Good body and bitterness
