Dry sour, kind of synthetic flavour of chocolate. Some smoke. Thin finish. Strange sweetness. (Tre Små Rum, 13.10.09) andersand (394), Malmö, Sweden
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 19, 2009 Black with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity and nutty with notes of chocolate truffels, coffe and liqourice. Flavour is hard roasted coffe, light liqourice with a nice fruity chocolate truffel character that I have only ever experienced in Dugges brews. Very flavourfull yet balanced with a dry hard roasted ending. LanceUppercut (133), Sweden
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 9, 2009 A nose of snuff, soil, tobacco, liquorish and a kind of metallic funk that goes away when the beer warms up. Taste is of all the above mentoined plus chocolate, cherries, wood and coffee. I’ts acidic, a bit dry and not so bitter. I think I can discern a characteristic trait among some of the strong stouts and porters from Scandinavia, such as Hr and Fru Frederiksen, Mikkeller BGB and Nögne Ö IS. They all share a note of tobacco, and a earthy, funky acidicy that ends in a dry finish. Overall, this is drinkable and a very interesting buy! Nisse666 (524), Göteborg, Sweden

Got this from a domestic trade, rather than going international which is a nice change of pace. Pours deep blackish brown with a tan head. Nose is extremely rich with a lot of burnt coffee beans and roastiness. Taste is sweet and chocolaty and extremely rich and roasted. Good but very intense.
