COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
En kraftig "Imperial Porter" med kaffetoner och eftersmak av saltlakrits. Inte lika dumdristig som storebror ”Idjit!” men har inga problem med att stå på egna ben!
English Language Label: From the one and only Dugges Ale & Porterbryggeri in Gothenburg, Sweden, an original, robust "Imperial Porter" with notes of coffee and salty liqorice.

Pours nearly black. Very small beige head that goes to faint lace quickly. Faint sweet coffee aroma. Taste of burned coffee, burned chocolate, and a bit fruity. A dry roasted, bitter, unsweetened chocolate with a hint of kerosene aftertaste. Not impressed.

A nose of snuff, soil, tobacco, liquorish and a kind of metallic funk that goes away when the beer warms up. Taste is of all the above mentoined plus chocolate, cherries, wood and coffee. I’ts acidic, a bit dry and not so bitter. I think I can discern a characteristic trait among some of the strong stouts and porters from Scandinavia, such as Hr and Fru Frederiksen, Mikkeller BGB and Nögne Ö IS. They all share a note of tobacco, and a earthy, funky acidicy that ends in a dry finish. Overall, this is drinkable and a very interesting buy!

RBESG. Arich deep smokey peatyness comes through on the nose with lots of double expresso coming through. A sure pick me up! Taste is similar with some tar and liquorice and mimimal bitter cocoa finish. Slippery and long lasting aftertaste this is definetley a good porter as alcohol doesnt dominate

Typical porter. Coffee, chocolate, malts. This one has a nice flavor. A bit light in body. Little smoke. Very drinkable and tasted better with each sip.

Poured 1pt 0.9oz. Dark brown with a slight head. Aroma has strong coffee notes. Malty flavor with a hint of dark chocolate. One of the best porters I have had, the higher alcohol gives it a slighty syrupy texture on the tongue.

Tap at EBF 2008. Pours black with a good creamy lasting head. Aroma of smokey roasted malts. Plenty of espresso/coffee. The coffee is not as conspicuous in the taste as in the aroma., finish is quite dry. Good stuff.

Thanks andersand for this one. Poured from the bottle. Pours a dark black with a little head. Great smell with nice malts some espresso and chocolate. The malts come through strong on the taste but a lot of the over flavors kind of fall off. Has a hint of a macro flavor, but i cant really put my finger on it. Good mouthfeel with good carbonation
