COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
En kraftig "Imperial Porter" med kaffetoner och eftersmak av saltlakrits. Inte lika dumdristig som storebror ”Idjit!” men har inga problem med att stå på egna ben!
English Language Label: From the one and only Dugges Ale & Porterbryggeri in Gothenburg, Sweden, an original, robust "Imperial Porter" with notes of coffee and salty liqorice.

A Mes rate: Bottle at RBESG. Black as night with a pretty solid tan head. Roasted malt, bags of chocolate and extreme coffee. Chewy and thick without being cloying. Just the right amount of rubbery oily character. Not the most complex porter I have had but it is just excellent in every department. Lovely stuff.

Komplexes Porter! Test vom 5.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,11,11,12,10,11 - 11,30

Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of roast, smoky, nutty, more roast, chocolate, and a little earthy. Tastes of chocolate, some roast, lighter smoke, and some coffee. A bit on the thin side.

Bottle with what appears to be a best before of November 2012. Pours with a near black body and a small tan head. Aromas are of milk chocolate, dark currants (a bit sour), licorice, coffee and acidic roast. Nutty, earthy, fudge like. Smells very roast and a bit sour overall. Flavors are much better: milk chocolate, nutty, dark fruits. Mildly acidic, with notes of cranberries, currants and other dark fruit. Anise, salted caramel, a bit sweet. Bready, a touch of vanilla frosting. Feels a touch thin, in the body. Mild salinity. Low carbonation, medium sweet finish. Possibly a mild infection going on, but overall pretty tasty.
as it warms notes of hazelnuts and enjoyable chocolate come to the forefront. Bumped up the score a bit.

500ml bottle (Orsted Olbar, Copenhagen)
Almost black, healthy tan head. Rich coffee and flapjacks aroma. Decent carbonation, but pretty soft. Taste also coffee-like. However, theres’s an excellent hoppy later taste that leaves a pleasant tingly finish as well as the burntness. Cures what ails you.

Flavor is chocolate malt, toffee, cookie, woody hops, alcohol notes, nutty malt, oak, and a dry finish. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation.

DocLock (5970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2011
16.9 ounce bottle from Smith’s. Pours hazy deep brown with minimal off-khaki head. Looks like a 3. Nose is roasty dark malt, cacao, hops, dark choc. Tastes black patent malty, with some tart blackberry flavor, rauchy notes, and hops, plus dark chocolate. Smooth, and pretty intense, but not great in complexity, and something seems a tad off with this one.

Draught, Akkurat Just arrived a few hours ago at the pub and there you go. Unfiltered, deepest brown, lasting dark beige head. Rather yeasty nose though it excludes the sourness you sometimes find in the style. Rather powdery malt character, mostly active in the nose where good chocolate powder, quite sweet, yet not without roasty espresso hints. Little fruitiness manages to pass this wall, but a wooden twist, which later on translated into vanilla undertones accompanies the darkness. Rich and full mouthfeel gives it a mealy impression, very feeding and with plenty of bread yeastiness.
