Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse No 68, Stockholm. Opaque black with rich light brown head. Big roasted aroma of coffee, smoke, olives with light note of oatmeal. Full flavour of roasted malt, black coffee and unsweetened chocolate, hints of wood and smoke. Creamy mouthfeel. Long medium bitterness of coffee and grapefruit. Nice!

typisk Duggeskaraktär. Lite salt, unken, jästdoft som man antingen älskar eller hatar. I like. Dessa toner i smak och doft funkar perfekt på denna ganska lätta, namnet till trots, porter.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2011 Draught, Bishop’s Arms Sundbyberg. Very dark brown with a creamy beige head. Roasted malt, fruit, some chocolate, rubber, licorice, some acidity, quite light. Medium-bodied and smooth.

Bottle courtesy HenrikSoegaard. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, licorice, notes of coffee and chocolate.

Bottle. Frothy lightbrown good mostly deminishing head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. NIce heavy bitter roasted flavor. Moderate bitter flavor. Creamy palate.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours pitch black with a nice looking 1 inch tanned head. Aroma of coffee, liquorice and molasse. Taste is full of those rich dark malts, bitter chocolate and english liquorice. Espresso and light tar as well, slightly roasted notes, dark caramel as well. Truly an amazing mix of different things here. Soft and smooth mouthfeel. Lingering roasty moderate sweet malts.Another excellent beer from Dugges.

500ml Bottle (Bishops Arms, Vasagatan, Stockholm) - Very dark brown, almost black in colour. Blackcurrant, roasted malt, coffee and chocolate can be detected in the aroma. Roasted taste with coffee, plain chocolate and roasted malt. Smooth and really tasty.

Coffee colored, coffee smell. No head at all. Smooth mouthfeel with more coffee, dark bittershocolate and some shy hops, roasted oats and brown syrup. Not my first choice, but quite OK. Expensive.

It poured a pitch black liquid with a small light brown head. Smell: Distinct smell of chocolate, coffee, roasted tones, burned toast. Very full smell, rich and creamy if that is even possible. Taste: Lots of coffee but also plenty of dark bitter chocolate. A bit of notes and very dark bread. Mouthfeel: Fairly smooth mouthfeel and thick body. Little to no carbonation as well.
