Bottle from Sam’s, Durham. Good one to score from the ongoing deep discount shelf sale. Kind of a cloudy apple juice looking poor, big bubbles, very crisp carbonation. Nose was an interesting combination of slightly faded malts and big citrus/sour apple. Prickly mouthfeel underscored the overall pertness of the beer, and the taste was - despite hints of old tea and stale biscuits - enjoyable and refreshing.

Cloudy yellow pour. Faint orange aroma. Taste is orange and some hops. A bit bland and over carbonated. Not that good.

1/25/2012. Bottle labeled as Hiphiphooray. Amber color with a white head. Hoppy aromas with spices, citrus and resin. Nice balance between fruit and hops. Very enjoyable.

Quite a beer; almost closer to an IPA then a pale ale. Had a huge cream-colored fluffy textured head that lasted a long time and lots of lace. Lots of malt and hops in the aroma. Flavor is like aroma plus cereal flavors and bitter and sweet and carbonic tang come out and express themselves. Great body and carbonation. Very drinkable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very good APA except for a little oxidation. Poured at a good temperature with a large, foamy, cream-colored head that slowly settles and some lace. Color is a clear orange amber with a couple of bubble trails. Aroma is hop, malt, yeast, wet cardboard. Flavor is similar to nose, hop is kind of subdued, but fitting for style and there’s a little pine and citrus plus sweet is also mild, bittler dominates, but not overly so, wet cardboard is just there, and carbonic tang is just right. Body n carbonation are perfect. Finish is like flavor, on the long side, and would be so much better, but for the oxidation.

Bottle. Lemon-lime peel and orange malt aroma. Golden yellow with giant head. Tangy lemon-lemon and light barley malt flavor. Okay - light malt.

500 ml bottle. Dark brown color. Two finger white head. Tastes earthy, almost like celery. A little different from the typical of the style.

Honoured to be the first to rate this , but sorry to report this just doesn't do it got me. Zilch head and stale taste are only offset by nice amber colour and cloudiness. No better than average ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at the Cask, Pimlico, 01/11/13. Hazed dark orange/amber with a thin off white head that clears edgeward to pondville. Nos is caramel malt, fruity wafts, light hop bill, grapefruit, jammy fruits. Taste comprises bitter orange, straw, grpaefruit, orange pith, caramel, toasty malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp and clean closure with a sweet nip and light hop bitterness. OK APA, drinkable but far from a leading light style wise!
